Hard to want to do raiding when it does not matter in pvp

Anyone else feel the same way?

When I first started playing wow my main goal was open world PVP. In order to get good gear for PVP I needed to raid. I was very motivated about rating because the gear that I obtained would help me do better in PvP.

Now upon returning to wow this past year I see no reason to do PVE at all and I am sad about that. I used to enjoy PVE
but if you take away the ultimate goal of it getting me better gear for PVP then it seems pointless.

On retail, most people who do PvP do not want to have to do much or really any PvE to be able to compete

Nope, not even in the slightest. I sort of miss the days when we actually had armor designed with stats for PvP.

Here’s a wild thought. You enjoy PvE. So just do the PvE. It doesn’t matter what rewards you get.

You can thank the PVP community for that. The overwhelming majority of the PVP community apparently does not want to do any PVE whatsoever.

It sounds like you never enjoyed PVE you just enjoyed he rewards from it.

It’s rarely a disadvantage to engage in multiple forms of content.

PvP gear being (for the most part) bis in PvP is ideal, though. It’s also too early to really say what’ll be best, which could easy be multiple pieces of mythic raid or even keystone gear.

Nope. Not me. I play WoW for the pve and raiding in particular. I could care less about PvP tbh. Nothing against it.

I’ve never liked raiding. My friend that got me into the game sold me on the raiding aspect but as soon as I found out how to pvp I was hooked on that. I could do bg’s for the rest of my life and be happy. Even in my unrated conquest gear going up against 1800 gear. Love it!

lol what? Why are you doing PvE solely to get gear for PvP… What is… I dont…

Correct.

People complained they had to raid to get the better trinkets and tier.

Niche players shouldn’t dictate the future of the game. But players that engage in all activities, yes.

If you enjoy it, do it. If you just chase goals, you’ll never be satisfied. There’s always a new plateau. Play the way you like.
