How many does ret/holy/prot have?
Curious on your thoughts? To me it seems we have abilities to handle many situations, but there are other specs that hard counter our abilities. Your thoughts??
As an assassination rogue, it all depends on the situation. I don’t attack prot or holy paladins because 1v1 it’s not guaranteed to go in my favor, but vs ret I have a pretty solid win rate.
That being said I’m not sure paladin has a “hard counter” right now. The class is very powerful in the current patch and has an answer to pretty much everything - and having to kill a paladin 2-3 times to secure the kill isn’t easy for anybody if gear levels are similar. I would imagine warlock still does pretty good against them (paladins have always been weak vs fear) and probably hunter/mage? As for a hard counter though… I’m not sure one exists.
Anyone with dispels & snares can soft counter a paladin (freedom & spellwarding can be purgable) priests and warriors can hard counter paladins with mass dispel and shattering throw (dispels our major defensive, divine sheild)
We also are very kitable when we do not have freedom available, so anyone that has good escape abilities can kite a paladin.
In addition our stuns can be countered by any magic defensive dispell.
Also paladins only use one school of magic, so if you get kicked, gg.
Literally anything is a hard counter because they have better walls and healing than you
Omg this is so true. Even warriors can self heal better then us.
