I have every slot filled with 606 gear on my Shaman, but the crest trade up vendor (Vaskarn) does not show me items to trade Carved crests into Runed. In fact, there is no item to trade up Weathered into Carved either from this vendor. My other character (Paladin) on this account earned the feat of strength, and is able to purchase the items. If this achievement is not account wide, shouldn’t I be able to trade up anyway since I’m ilvl 606 in every slot?
Edit: Found the problem, it was my bracers. Apparently Timewarped Raid Finder gear from BRD does not count towards the achievement. I had Cinderhide Armsplints equipped, but when i got new bracers to drop the achievement popped…
OMG thank you so much for solving this, my DH had the same problem and I would have never even thought that gear would have been the issue.
I put in a ticket about it and they said that “there is no known issues with this game mechanic” when this post exists and there is no blue posts response just proves they don’t pay any attention.
Blizzard Customer Service is an absolute joke and needs an overhaul!
That’s because those bracers are leather and not valid for your class.
There aren’t any issues other than players not realizing that you need to have items meant for your class. Items of the wrong armor type, items for a specialization you can’t use, weapons you cannot equip, etc all do not count.
Well my issue was from a weapon from the BRD event that I could 100% equip and have been using so there is clearly there is an issue there.
BRD gear scaled to level 80 also isn’t being recognized for “current expansion” warbank slots either if you deposit with right-click, so it wouldn’t surprise me if its gear is an edge case for the crest threshold failing to count it.
This doesn’t actually mean anything definitive. What class and what weapon?
