Harassment

I find it very disturbing that blizzard does not respond to mass harassment reports, me and my guild in RP have been stalked and harassed by this DK Player and he continues to do so, at least Blizzard could put people you put on ignore into different phases or something, this is getting ridiculous

Maybe because those have been abused lately? Also, how can anyone you have on ignore harass you?

And an FYI, calling out a player by name will get you actioned. You should pull the name.

If anyone from your guild/group responds to him Blizzard isn’t going to interfere.

All you have to put him on ignore, leave him on ignore, don’t respond and keep reporting for on going harassment.

fair enough thanks for the heads up

Severe lack of context.

He has been following us everywhere, just standing there, when asked to leave he says he was in the area

Blizzard genuinely doesn’t seem to care about it unless players use multiple accounts of their own that you already ignored on all characters, they can use all their friends, guilds, etc to keep bothering you and your guild. They especially do not take RP/physical harassment seriously at all, people that follow you everywhere and posting nonsense (Especially OOC stuff)

I don’t really see the problem. You really need to define what you mean by stalked and harassed because although those might seem like reasons to you for all anyone knows you are being hyperbolic and using extreme words to mischaracterize what actually happen.

And this is why nothing has been done.

You’re arguing with him and Blizzard’s not going to interfere with an argument unless it breaks the CoC and there’s no rule that says someone can’t follow your RP group around.

how about following me everywhere I go, interrupting RP by standing over me, he has followed me to difference zones as well

You should move this thread to the Customer Support forum. Someone there may be able to look into the reports.

Coming from someone who helps the SCA consistently slander/libel people? This is amusingly ironic.

This has a guy walked in front of my camera in the gym vibes.

If you already have the person on ignore and can no longer see his words then what you are suggesting is that the thing that bothers you is that this person is placing their character in the same places as you.

This might seem like stalking but I think this word is in fact being used to make the situation seem more extreme than it actually is. Your life isn’t in danger and no one is actually following you in real life.

The problem you have is that you don’t want him to be present where you are trying to engage in RP but he has every right to go where he pleases in the world as you do. You are suggesting that you have more of a right to be somewhere than he does because you were there first. I just fail to see how this is anything other than attempting to manipulate twist the situation into something far worse than it actually is.

This is what these people do, as shown by the name callout, they have no regard for rules, and believe everyone SHOULD be under their control.

I’ve seen harassment in game spillover into legal problems involving the FBI. This post, this thread you are enabling the stalker. Put the person(s) on ignore, report once, move on, and so should everyone else roped into this problem.

I’m not going to toss any hat in a ring, leave it to Blizzard to decide, but wanted to say I know a few people who got slandered by those groups so now I’m interested in this story.

So you don’t have him on ignore?

also its an open world game, we can be anywhere we want to be and you have no control over that nor is it harassment.

The irony is that I might have actually sympathized with their perspective if they didn’t try to use their specific kind of wording to exaggerate and paint themselves as a victim of something more severe. If they had been more honest maybe things would have been different.
