Harassment. No help from Blizzard

Hello,

I'd like to know what steps I and my guild can take to stop the ongoing harassment from a group of people on our server.

We've been the targets of bullying, name calling, inappropriate sexual innuendo and more over the past few months. We've tried placing these individuals on ignore, but then they just move on to harassing the next of our guild members who haven't placed them on ignore yet.

This is targeted and malicious attack against my guilds members is causing many of us to consider quitting the game and moving to a new MMORPG.

We've put in tickets and have received the same "copy and paste" response from Blizzard employees about the ignore feature. This doesn't solve the problem as these individuals circumvent the ignore by creating new characters or by attacking new guild members.

We've been told to try and ignore these people and we have. It does not work. They attack us in private messages, in general and trade chat. They insult us on a personal basis and our guild in general.

We're on a lower population server and have been trying to recruit people to our Mythic Raid team, and I've had applicants decide against joining us after seeing the trolling and harassment that goes on from these individuals.

Do we need to phone the police to have something done? We have had enough of being targets and victims. We just want to play the game in peace.

I currently have a ticket in with screen shots of examples of the harassment committed against their current target.

Help us, Blizzard.

Edit: My topic on the Customer Support form was deleted almost immediately. So I am assuming I should have posted somewhere else. If a Blue could move this to the correct forum, rather than deleting the thread I'd appreciate it.

I decided to post on the forums because the in game ticket service has been ineffective in helping us resolve this issue. Calling Blizzard has also proven to be ineffective.

We need help with this.

[Post is now locked by a Forum Moderator: We've received reports about some replies in the thread being inappropriate. If you have a ticket in, please continue to work with Game Masters to get this resolved.]
You have to put them on ignore. Then never speak to them, even when they message you. If you message them back then Blizzard doesn't see it as harassment. Every single time they message you, mail you, whatever, put in a ticket for ongoing harassment.
We've done this. It's been going on for months.

We're at the point where we're considering calling the police. If it had been a case of trolling over a week or two we'd have shrugged it off.

Honestly, we're at our wit's end here.

The consequences will never be the same!
build a case with screen shots and logs. document, document, document.

This is accurate.

It's really important you don't engage them - simply and only report them.

In the case of threats, I'm sure there is something they could do. At least we'd have it on record at that point.
Re-open your tickets and specifically state that they are "circumventing the ignore feature" and describe how they are doing that.

I've seen people post in the past that that approach has helped, since it means the ways Blizz has told you to deal with it are being circumvented, but I'm not sure if it would still work today.
Tell your guild members to ignore them if they are bothered and move on with your lives.

Thank you everyone for the advice. We're going to be advising our guild of nearly 100 people to place these people on ignore if they haven't already (most of us have).

Its unfortunate that this keeps happening. I've been playing this game for over a decade and have never seen such horrible conduct from people that has spanned for months on end without any help from Blizzard staff.

We'll reopen tickets when they circumvent the ignore feature, which they've done multiple times now. But if nothing is done we'll either have to transfer the guild or find a new game to play that is better moderated.

We did that 3 months ago. It hasn't worked in any reasonable fashion.

Thank you for your advice, though I suspect if you had read my original post you'd know that we'd tried your approach already.
Well if you guys quit then you're simply allowing these idiots to get away with it. Like someone said above, don't answer them and make sure that you and anyone else receiving messages/whispers/mails, or whatever else is reporting it in a ticket every single time.

And no, the police will not be able to or even want to get involved unless you are actually receiving death threats or something of equivalent severity.

Lastly, I feel the need to point out how incredibly easy it is to have action taken against you for even alluding to a curse word or making fun of somebody here in the forums. That said, I have to wonder if the "harassment" your complaining about is as bad as you're making it out to be. Not calling you a liar but seriously, the severity of the offenses you're describing doesn't sound like something Blizz would just blow of. They have pretty specific rules in place for just that kind of thing.

In each ticket you have to state it it ongoing harrassement. You also need to state they are circumventing the ignore feature when they do it.

Ok,for one did any of your members of your guild did anything to another member of their guild? If so the guild leaders should talk this out.If not then you bring this up to Blizzard as a harassment complaint . Mine you ,you may not be able to resolve this matter very well in the end.
I'm going to play Devil's Advocate for a moment.

Out of the blue, for no reason, an entire guild decided to target your guild with weeks and months of constant harassment?

Why?

What are you not telling us?
Edit
The OP has answered this question.

Three of them are former members of our guild who didn't like our old raid leader (who isn't even playing WoW anymore). They left and formed another guild and have been harassing us ever since.

Nothing seems to stop these people from trying to ruin our time in game.

Doesn't matter.

That blame is still on the guild harassing.

same thing happen to this guild. Guess what. they put in so many tickets we went through three guild name changes. I went through one. some of the guildies went as far four. The end result guild fell apart. Blizzard will not help you.

I do believe cause she and I are not the only one to happen to. Over years I have seen two other post similar. Blizzard does not care.
Businesses that operate large social media sites where people converge to interact with one another need to do a better job in regulating bad behavior. Fake News, misleading information, and harassment. Yes battle.net and world of warcraft is one of those sites and they have a social and ethical responsibility to their user base to do better.
You can't possibly be this naive. There has to be more to this story than just what OP says. Honestly, I'm willing to be there isn't even harassment going on.
