Weekly reminder that personal loot was 10x better than this garbage group loot. Please, as you run a full LFR this week (3 wings now!) for 0 pieces of loot, remember how much better things were when you got personal loot and join me in asking Blizzard to bring back Personal Loot for LFR.
Weekly reminder that no it wasn’t.
You mean when I’d run 3 wings and get nothing with personal loot? That hasn’t changed.
Yes, because it was easier to get loot with everyone rolling Need automatically and item level trading restrictions. Obligatory /s.
We don’t need to; it’s already there.
And here’s your weekly reminder that this statement is objectively wrong.
Those are cute as heck tho.
But that was my life with personal loot. Id go like 3 weeks without loot.
Im getting like 1 drop a week now at least. And good lord i love the vault, just got my 2 piece set from it today!
Why dont we let the OP define what he thinks each loot system is or how it rolls… see where the disconnect is.
You got me lol
I remember when they banned top guilds for abusing LFR, that’s the only good thing that I remember happening from LFR.
In personal loot, the game randomly selects 5 of the 25 LFR members to receive a piece of loot. Then, it randomly selects a piece of loot from their chosen loot spec.
In group loot, the game randomly selects 5 items from the boss’s loot table (less if someone is locked). Then, everyone who is eligible to roll on that loot rolls and you have a 1/(# of eligible people) chance to win (no one is passing on gear in LFR unless the game forces them to).
It’s awesome I made some gold by vendoring my ninja looted items that I don’t even use. But if I need gold rolling is legitimate I guess
Why is it a hard concept for these people to understand that “personal loot” just did the rolls behind the scenes? It was still a roll goofballs.
I happen to think personal loot was better. Every boss I’ve been on except maybe two every. single. person. that could roll need rolled need. I think I have about as much chance of someone trading unneeded personal loot as I do rolling against these monsters.
There’s also the matter of “I’d rather not know” when an item drops and I’m second from the bottom. Doesn’t feel very good to me.
It’s far from objective and probably more than a bit of personal preference.
Personal loot did a 1/5 roll on every boss to give you loot. With group loot, the composition of the group affects your chances of getting loot on every boss. If you happen to be the only plate wearer, good for you, if you wear mail there’s probably about a 1/10 chance on every roll you do now.
So it was just a hidden roll, so you are just arguing over probability. Funny the only people I ever see complain is LFR people. Gearing has never been easier, put in some effort or just be happy they maintain a raid difficulty that requires next to no skill.
I’m farther into Mythic than you are, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like to be able to gear my alts from LFR.
Let’s say I actually believe that. To start, you are doing Mythics (Raid? M+? unclear) but can only seem to LFR your alts? Can’t even bother to pug normal on them? Seems off. So to summarize you don’t put in the effort and just want to complain.
Stop derailing the thread with a non-issue. if you don’t have anything to contribute to the topic of loot distribution in LFR being unequal under group loot, go troll elsewhere please.
