Like two-thirds of all the teachers at the school I work at showed up wearing punny Star Wars shirts.
Amateurs.
I showed up wearing my Yoda shirt (âJudge me by my size, do you?â I am a petite, five-foot woman) while carrying my lunch in my R2-D2 lunch bag and my coffee in a mug with Grogu on it.
Clearly, I was the top Star Wars nerd (teacher) at school.
So, naturally⊠all of my students were absent today. 
I teach special education, so I have a small class size. Itâs not unusual to have all my students absent, especially during allergy season.

One of these days Iâm going have to watch one of the Star Wars movies and see what this brouhaha is all about. My impression is that it is a knock-off of combining High Noon, samurai knock-off movie and a fundamental misunderstanding of Taoism.

The older movies were awesome to me bc.
- humanity being on the brink of extinction (the majority of thingys were aliens)
- faith in what you canât see
- accepting others no matter their appearance
- realizing the biggest challenge & enemy is the road to bettering yourself
