As 2019 comes to an end, I once again want to say the words of gratitude to the Community and the Developers of Classic World of Warcraft!
We’ve come a long way from “You Think You Do, But You Don’t” - to more than ONE HUNDRED (100!) Classic WoW servers worldwide!
Despite of what you might see here on forums from time to time, always keep in mind - people tend to complain about the things much more, than appreciate what we have. And the loudest voices do not accurately represent the community of the game.
Obviously - it is super important to shine the light on the problems that Classic WoW has. We know for a fact that the developers - like Omar Gonzalez and Brian Birmingham - have said and have shown numerous times that they are listening to the feedback of the community. My only hope is that in 2020 there will be more useful criticism with informative suggestions, and the useless complain posts not gonna get too much traction.
NOW - THE THINGS WE SHOULD LOOK FORWARD TO IN 2020!
- Blackwing Lair - Coming out very soon (early January), this is gonna be the first raid dungeon in Classic WoW, that majority of experienced players would refer to as “Challenging”. I personally can’t wait to see the funny video compilations with the guilds trying to take down Nefarian!
- The Opening of the gates of Ahn’Qiraj - I am SUPER EXCITED to see how the WoW Classic realms are going to deal with that in 2020 compared to Vanilla WoW in 2006. Will the full population realms crash? Will the low population realms have enough players? Let’s find out!
- Naxxramas , Zul’Gurub, Darkmoon Faire.
- The Announcement of The Burning Crusade / Classic Plus Content. Very curious what decisions are going to be made on that front, and if the community of classic wow gonna have an effect on it. There always will be people who would want to stay in Classic forever, and there always gonna be players who would want to venture into Outlands.
- I am sure that many people play other video games as well - and 2020 is looking out to be one of the greatest years for the Gaming Industry: Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us 2, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Half Life Alyx - all of these titles are being produced by AAA companies with great reputation, and I can’t wait to get my hands on all of them!
What are you guys looking forward to in 2020? Are you excited about the future of Classic WoW and the community? I think the future looks bright, and I have high hopes!
