Happy hallow's eve gang!

hope you all are enjoying your time playing the game, trick or treating, and making funny costumes/transmogs for your characters.

me, i can’t. i have to clean my house/put up my dollar-store decorations…
i got folks comin over to help give-out candy irl (i have family and friends who live in the country, so they never get to hand-out candy, but i live near a school, so they usually come over and give it out here… saves me the trouble of having to do it myself!)
i think… i think next-year, i’m gonna buy some cheap plastic cauldrons, and fill’em with dry-ice. give my yard a spooky fog-effect.

but anyway… happy halloween/hallow’s eve folks!

halloween seems to have died off. my area never gets any trick or treaters anymore

probably not this year, if you know what i mean

the last five years

i don’t know whether to say ‘aw… that’s too bad’ or ‘lucky!’ to that.

cause on the one hand, seeing folks in costumes, and giving kids their first paycheck in the form of candy is just… it’s a good feeling.

on the other, candy is really expensive this year. also i hate having to open my door to strangers… feels awkward.
but that’s why i like having folks over for halloween. they cover both bases for me.

alrighty

Everybody does Trunk or Treat now. It’s safer for the little kids. (albeit way more lame)

I have always hated halloween. It’s a long story. But I like kids.

When I moved back to the US, I was so excited for Halloween for the first time in my life because I changed fields so I wasn’t working with kids anymore. And I was living alone so for the first time in my life, I bought halloween decorations and bought so much candy stuff and sat up and waited even though I was (non-infectious) quite ill so that I could give out so much candy to the trick-or-treaters.

Turns out, no one visits my apartment building in my small midwest city for trick-or-treat.

:frowning:

Movie day for me. Watching Elvira, a couple 70’s cartoon specials. Might watch The Crow tonight, though I did watch that the other night

oh yeeaah… they do that here too, but then the parents take their kids to the houses. double-down on the candy-gathering, y’know? and since i live near a school… i’m an early target for treaters.

Heh, same. Well, not hate, but never cared for it. I’m always eager for it to be over to make way for the superior holiday, Christmas :christmas_tree:

My neighborhood used to have a ton of little kids, now they are all teens or older, because kids grow up. We still get a few little ones but not as much. No problem passing candy out to teens though, I am glad they are trick-or-treating and having basic fun at that age.

My mother loves to pass out the candy she dresses up and greets the kids and compliments the costumes. She goes all out decorating the yard as well. Although decorating for all the holidays is huge in my neighborhood, so we never have the best place, but it is still fun.

Happy Hallows Eve!!

hmm ok

man, not in my town they are’nt. well… the candy-part, atleast. around here, parents are kinda… uh… what’s a nice word for ‘irresponsible’?

whatever, point is, kids around here are just as hyper-active and trouble-making as they’ve always been. they’ve just got cellphones now, and rant about minecraft.

I live in the middle of nowhere and since it’s also a school night not expecting any Trick or Treaters. But we still have a bag of Snickers and Tootsie Pops to hand out for the unexpected.

Well, for those who have nowhere else to go, we’re gonna turn Raven Hill Graveyard into Raven Hill RAVEYARD tonight at 8 PM CST/MG server time.
