We get bears in my front yard at times. The only time we really worry is if there is a cub.

But we have “bear days” where it’s unsafe to get the kids to school. Trash pandas aka racoons are the ones we worry most about, they tend to carry the really bad parasites.

Rabies too. Racoons are a pain. Possums are ok they just play dead and eat ticks lol

Sometimes you can’t have a fire arm wiyh you, like in a parking lot for example. I agree though but too Sometimes you just can’t use it or want to as a last resort.

Yes, guns are permitted in Yellowstone National Park
do not know if this follows a fed or public

but if public and there are large wild animals they might allow it

Yeah, but it’s not like an armadillo is going to aggressively pursue you to give you leprosy. A rabid raccoon on the other hand has sharp teeth and can open doors, windows, and locks. Also armadillos don’t throw my recycling everywhere.
