Today marks the 70th anniversary of Godzilla’s debut. And doesn’t look like the franchise is slowing down anytime soon. From being a metaphor for the dangers of nuclear power, to child friendly camp, to summer popcorn action fests, to cameos and crossovers, the big G has given us a lot over the decades. And there’s a lot on the horizon too. Looking forward to it.

The ending of Godzilla vs Destoroyah still makes me weep like a big ol baby. I would love to see a more modern take on Destoroyah, they were cool.
Just all of Final War. That movie is a blast.
There’s oodles, those were just the ones that jumped out of my brain the fastest.

My favorite fight of all time is when he fought Angurius in Osaka, the power struggle between those two was very chaotic , and that something I would like to continue in future films. With Yamazaki coming back to do another Godzilla film I am very excited to see what next film is going be. Will it be sequel to Minus One or a different Godzilla film that will feature Hedorah?

Sounds like Godzilla Raids Again. EDIT: It’s currently free on YouTube (US).
Hopefully the latter. I’m a little bit sick of shared cinematic universes at this point.
It is, its ok film but fight one my all time favorite.
We have Yamazaki back to do story wirting, directing and visual effects. I think I am lending towards Minus One Sequel he did minion that he wanted explore “Curse of Godzilla” if you haven’t seen the movie…
Noriko is infected with G-Cells and very likely she’s going turn into a kajiu.
I liked the Godzilla -1 movie quite a bit. It got set up for a sequel.
Its very likely it will be a sequel. We may see another in upcoming sequel. If you look very carefully at the godzillasaurus at beginning of the film, he has scars all over his body included his neck which it looks freshly new. Question we should be asking ourselves, will this be a classic kajiu like Anguirus? Or member’s of Toho’s big five like Rodan? Or a new original kajiu that they’re going to introduce.

Given how much irl history was in Minus One, it might be our favorite spikey boi, Anguirus. Seeing as there where underground nuclear tests which started in 1951.

like every fan in america wants to see but that’s going to be up to toho and they have a habit of using one of their big 5 in their film due their popularity. Toho also afraid to introduce new kajiu or used classic kajiu they fear it caused of lack of interest. that’s why u see Mothra, Ghidorah, Rodan and Mechagodzilla make an appearance after film underperform. So yea why u think those 4 appear in 90s? because Godzilla vs. Biollante didn’t preform as well they hope and they thought lets those kajiu back and see what happens. Same thing with Godzilla x Megagurius, GMK was supposedly to have Anguirus and Varan with Baragon but GxM flop so poorly that they wanted Mothra and Ghidorah instead of those two and got Mechagodzilla in next two films afterwards.
Kiryu is THE best MechaG hands down. At least 90’s Mothra gave us some new kaiju too. Battra is a nice addition to her mythos.
agree, tho my brother loves showa MG because of his all weapons attack.
I wish we get more of him. He wasn’t a real villain, he loves earth and he see us is nothing but a blight on the earth and wants us gone.
