At the end of Halls of Reflection the airship does not fire on the lich king and just continues to hold Jaina. Tried resetting the instance multiple times on both Heroic and normal. Tried abandoning the quest in between instances as well and still no luck. I’m staing close to Jaina throughout the chase and allowing mobs to hit her a few times while also not touching the lich king himself.
Next day, do it again but when running from lich king, start a timer (for achievement if you’re playing for it)
- Kill any ghoul that tries to kill jaina or sylvanas, any ghoul on you, dont kill, until lich king is close to the ice wall then you can continue killing the remaining ghouls
- when its at least 5 minutes have passed,and you’re on the last wall, kill everything and then the RP won’t break and dont damage the lich king
- Short answer, play like you’re struggling to solo the dungeon
I tried it again tonight another 4 times and it still doesn’t work. I’ve given the LK enough time to get to Jaina at the end that he has cut Jaina off before she can finish saying " this is our last stand". I’ve done it so she has time to finish everything. I’ve let the LK get close enough to Jaina at each wall that the cyclone thing almost touches us.
I take it you’ve successfully done this recently?

Did you get it first try or did you have problems too? As I complete quests around Icecrown I’ve been jumping back in and will try a run or two on normal.
Does anything matter leading up to the chase sequence? Like killing the 10 waves too quickly or the hallway guardian? I imagine not since after the boss at wave 5 there is like a 2 min wait where 'm guessing the script figures out what to do?

its about letting lich queen catch up,if you kill the ghouls, jaina will break the wall to the next wall and lick king will be left behind
I finally just got it. I set a time for 6 minutes since I was shooting for 5 before breaking the last wall. LK was on top of Jaina the whole way. During the final RP Jaina DID get interrupted and strangled by the LK while saying her lines. Not sure if this is intended or not as before I was trying to have enough space for her to say every word before being choked.
I completed this on normal and might try for the heroic achievement but after 10+ tries I’m happy to just have the completion on normal and quest complete.
