Halls of Reflection - cant finish

Have had it happen the two times I’ve tried it last week and this. No fix.

i can confirm also that the end of Halls of reflection is bugged at the end the RP never finishes making this dungeon incompletable

EDIT: tried to exit the dungeon to reset the encounter but that even fails… the moment you walk back in LK continues to strangle Sylvanas

Having this issue as well. The gunship is there, Sylvanas is being force choked, and it’s just stuck there. Can’t get the achievement for completing it, quest completion, or loot.

Still no fix for this all these years later? Not able to complete no matter what I do

I keep seeing updates to this post and wondered if any of my old tricks would sort this bug out. I went in on several characters that had successfully made it through before 11.0.2 went live and every one of them was able to make it as far as the “Escape the Lich King” portion without any problems. Now that 11.0.2 is on retail, however, as soon as I got any of them to the gunship location, the dungeon roleplay scripting broke. None of my previous work-arounds could prevent this.

What was historically the problem was linked to causing Arthas to switch focus to a player character by burning him down to 1 hp, easily avoided by doing nothing in that portion of the roleplay. This was a problem as early as Warlords of Draenor.

Other times, being too far away from Sylvanas, meaning stay a bit back and killing all the summoned adds before any of them got close to Sylvanas. This would frequently cause Sylvannas to bug long before getting to the Gunship. Easily avoidable by staying close to Sylvanas and killing the adds once they were in melee distance. This was a problem even during Wrath of the Lich King.

This version though, I am at a loss. I tried to wait it out, gave game about 20 minutes to figure out where we were in the ropeplay, but nope. There was no evidence of a clean-up routine in the back-end of the code. My best guess is that some part of the scripting was broken by a change during the migration to 11.0.2, because I had no problem (using the above “tricks”) getting to the Gunship while Remix was still a thing.

Still bugged 9/19/24. Tried on two different lockouts and it’s just stuck at the last moment. Leaving and coming back the ship moves down, but you still die jumping to it.

Same here. Just tried it with 4 other characters and still does not work. I hope they get this fixed soon, especially since the ‘Escape from the Lich King’ portion has the piece I need to finish my mog.

This is still an issue in normal and heroic 9/22/24… It’s been months. What’s going on? I just want to get the achievements…

9/24/2024 - still bugged. I have run this dungeon in the past with no difficutly, several times, on multiple toons. Now, totally bugged. Gunship rises, doesn’t fire, LK holds Jaina and nothing moves forward.

Tried it a bunch of ways, including both Heroic and Normal, hitting Arthas and not, but in both ways it seems like it just glitches out at the very end. I watched the horde airship come up and saw stuff disappear from it as it went up, so it looks like whatever is on the ship that is supposed to be causing the dungeon to continue is getting phased out. This is a massive oversight and quite obvious that I’m not sure how it hasn’t gotten fixed. From the looks of things, it’s been quite a long time as well, which is rather inexcusable similar to other phasing issues, like Grommash Hold.

I think I found a solution to this bugged. I struggled running this instance well over 20 times trying to clear it but always getting bugged at Arthas. I have gotten 2 clears this exact way, one in normal and another in heroic.

When the Arthas encounter starts, I didn’t kill any undead and I let him kill Jaina to reset the encounter. Once they respawned I started the encounter again and made sure to wait until Arthas was close to Jaina each time before I killed the undead to progress the fight. I never hit Arthas, I’m 2 for 2 on clears using this method. I suspect the real fix is letting the encounter naturally wipe and reset, I don’t think me letting Arthas get close or not hitting him has anything to do with both my clears, but I wanted to be clear on how I got mine. Hope this helps people and it works for you!

You know, some of the weird ways that Blizzard made things work in “the old days” were kind of round about. I wonder if in the old days, when we did this dungeon, that what you are doing actually took place out of our sight. Certainly, it took a good deal longer clearing that room with Falric and Malwyn back then. Maybe just enough time for Arthas to kill Sylvannas/Jaina one time before we made it to the room with them.

EDIT: Just ran Halls of Reflection on my level 70 evoker with your recommended work-around and sadly, it didn’t work. The airship appeared but after a full five minutes, the Lich King still had Sylvannas in a choke-hold. I tried again letting Sylvannas die at different ice-blocks each time to force a reset and they all ended the same, airship appears and then nothing.

For what little they were worth: Attacking Arthas did not change the outcome. Not attacking Arthas did not change the outcome. Healing Sylvannas did not change the outcome. Not healing Sylvannas did not change the outcome. Killing the adds at Sylvannas’ feet did not change the outcome. Killing adds as soon as they came into range did not change the outcome.

It’s increasingly apparent that the code is fundamentally broken.
