Im on the hilt quest and evidently I have to open up halls of infusion. so I did heroic pit of saron. jaina didnt offer a quest and portal to halls didnt work. So I ported out and did normal forge of souls leading me through portal to pit of saron yielded no jaina! What do I have to do to straighten this out?
Just as a note, halls of infusion is a Dragonflight dungeon and doesn’t involve Wrath. What is the quest name you are having trouble on?

Did you turn in and pick up the various quests between instances? I don’t believe the quest chain was intended for chain-running the Icecrown dungeons (aka the “Frozen Halls” instances). You have to leave the instance area to turn in and pick up quests for each stage.

The dungeon you’re thinking of is Halls of Reflection, I believe.
Did you do the quest in Forge of Souls? Jaina/Sylvanas should be at the entrance with it. You may need to enable “Low Level Quests” in your tracking. Should be to the left of your minimap.

The first (optional) quest for the attunement chain starts in Dalaran, but the rest can be done without leaving the dungeons. Make sure you have trivial quest tracking turned on so you can see them. Here’s the Wowhead link for the first quest. (It looks like I hit the Horde version, but they are identical with Sylvanas replaced with Jaina.)
There are a couple of sequential quests in the Pit of Sauron (The Pit of Sauron/The Path to the Citadel.) So, you have a turn in/pick up you need to do midway through the dungeon. That’s probably the most likely thing you missed.
Actually, it was. There are even portals at the end of each dungeon leading to the next dungeon.
