Halls of Atonement Wicked Bolts need to be nerf

If you pull 2 of those casters, you need rotating interrupts to stop them from chunking like 70% of random ppl’s health. On top of the dungeon needing interrupts on houndmaster and the collector siphon life channel. WTF is the design intend of this crap??

I honestly think you can’t make stops/stuns changes WITHOUT reducing the frequency of deadlly casts.

All they did was make stuff harder.

Halls is total beans, but the wicked bolts are not the problem. every other aspect of the dungeon is.

Bump because this dungeon is 1000x harder than literally anything else this season and it’s 100% because of Obliterators.

Yeah, I’m bumping any HoA posts I see because this dungeon needs additional tuning. The timer is far too tight for the amount of mobs you need to pull.

Totally agree, these casts are bs , unpugable, 10 mil average hit in +15, any cast that goes off is basically death.

It’s just a garbage dungeon that basically forces you to stack classes with tons of crowd control.
Classes with weak CC and long interrupt cooldowns don’t even have a chance to get invited.

I just smile when I look at these threads now when I see View hidden reply knowing it’s the “Get gud” “L2P” chump. Now besides that, this dungeon has major issues but the casts aren’t the problem. The amount you have to pull with how much you have to pull to even have a prayer of timing is the problem with the dungeon. Slashers are a PITA, they don’t give nearly enough % for the effort needed to contend with them. I legit felt that prenerf Streets was more tolerable than this version of HOA. The bosses are 100% fine, it’s strictly the trash and how much you have to contend with to cover the % count.

It’s just sad, really, that they took one of the few good dungeons from shadowlands and butchered the everloving hell out of it. Especially after they made a point about reducing the number of must-interrupt casts and filling this dungeon in particular with all the ones they took out of the rest.

I think the dungeon damage tuning is fine. What they ought to do is to make mobs contribute more % or increase the timer by 2 minutes.

Priory is even worse than HoA. It took me much less attempts on HoA than on Priory. In HoA, at least you can cc the casters. In priory, paladins + light spawns straight up delete the party.

u cant be playing the most unkillable dps class in the game, and say the tuning is fine lol. dk is so tanky u literally dont even need a defensive for 90% of the BS in this dungeon. ur plate, so the “shoot” from houndmasters is laughable. AMS is insanely strong on a short CD meaning ur more or less immune to pug’s missed kicks. and IBF literally makes u immune to half of the deadly mechanics in the dungeon.

try playing a cloth class, then say the tuning is fine.

both are pretty ridiculous, but priory is more manageable. the overall tuning is better, and the major “scary” pulls are predictable. i.e. the paladins. u can SEE the cast coming, they are intentionally staggered, and you CAN pull fewer if u feel the need to. in HoA, every pull has nuclear levels of threat, at basically completely random timing. the only trash in the entire dungeon that has predictable group damage is the Shards, but even then, their thrash overlaps with 9mil Shoots, 12mil Wicked Bolts, w/e.

Slight addendum. Shield is 15% DR not 25%. There’s a latent 10% passive in the spell datat that just isn’t part of the spec anymore.

Mages are still easily the most durable ranged dps in the game at this point though if they press their buttons properly.

Priory isnt that bad since the paladins pulls are only about 20-25% of the entire dungeon count.

Halls you have to pull 80% and it just seems every single pack has an obliterator on top of the houndmaster that can also just shoot ppl randomly. I’ve seen ppl just get absolutely deleted by a random shoot into a wicked bolt :frowning:

Now everyone can go +2 in the key or something and complain again /yawn.

Looking at this dude’s post history; he doesnt say anything constructive or suggest anything as a solution to the game. Just post troll comments hiding behind a lvl 70 avatar.
