Hallow's End Explained?

So this is my first ever Hallow’s End and i’m incredibly confused. There are daily quests and the daily Headless Horseman kills, but what else? It seems like there’s more but the Blizz post about it doesnt tell me much. It just mentions some kind of currency (im guessing Tricky Treats are the currency?), but i have no idea where to spend them or what i can spend them on.

Hope it’s not too much but can anyone give me an in-depth explanation on the ins and outs of this event? I love Halloween so i’d love to get as much out of this event as possible.

Okay so first off you are going to want to go around all of EK, Kalimdore, Northrend, Pandaria, and Draenor to get all the tricky treats from the Inn (I recommend getting addon CandyBuckets for that). After that you can buy the toys and pets associated with them though to get all of them will require doing it on multiple characters if you want it all in one year.

After that it is just achievement mopup which should be fairly straightforward.

There are candy buckets all over the world at flight hubs mostly. You can earn achievements for getting them all. You can get Tricky Treats, gold, and xp at them. There are other achievements for the holiday as well under your achievements tab. Finally - spend your tricky treats on holiday themed merchandise. The vendor should be where you get your daily quests. You can get pets and stuff.

As others have said, there are candy buckets all around the world. If you are doing Draenor (unlikely since you said this is your first) you can do dailies and decorate your garrison and Legion has another section in Val’sherrah that deals with a witch mob.

As far as the currency goes, that is the tricky treats, you can use them to buy several pets and toys from the vendor, outside stormwind near the wickerman.

Thanks so much for the info. I thought the candy buckets at the inn was just a one-time thing at any inn, not an individual one at EVERY inn. I’ll jump on it now i suppose.

Wowhead is your friend for these events. They explain things and show you the toys and such. Wealth of information there.

I also forgot there are some daily quests at your Garrison in Draenor if you want to do them for extra treats (also make sure to use 5 to set up decorations as they unlock a rare spawn).

I do have Draenor and have alot of progress there. I started playing back in January or February, so i have multiple max-level characters and a fully built up Alliance and Horde garrison on two of my characters. I did see a couple of those decoration options but didn’t look too far into it.

If this is your first Hallow’s End, make sure you do the quest chain to get the creepy crate battle pet. Save up candies and buy the battle pet that’s a black cat in a witch’s hat that rides on a broom. Get your garrison to level 3 and go to the graveyard and snag Scarecrow Pepe.

Went and got Scarcrow Pepe and the achievement needed to summon him at any time. One of the first things i did the moment i heard Pepe was a thing.

Also, why the battle pets specifically? Any reason to get them if im not into pet battling?

Feline Familiar is the coolest battle pet in the game. It’s a black cat with a witch’s hat and when you mount up and soar into the sky it follows you on a broomstick.

Ah ok that is pretty badass. I’ll try to get it after i get the Hearthstone.
