So I was playing in Hallowfall earlier with one of my kids.
My screen showed the world purply because the gem sticking out of the ceiling was in its night phase (for lack of a better word).
I glanced over at my daughter’s screen and she was in normal day mode.
Not a big deal, but it struck me as odd since we were in a group and I assume in the same phase since we could see one another.
Is there a cycle for when the gem is light or dark? Or is it triggered by events while questing?
Part of the questline throws you into the dark phase. Otherwise, it’s on a timer for the region that’s listed on Wowhead.
That’s the quest when we fight the cultist right? That was what we were working on at the time. Just struck me as odd that my screen was night and hers was day and we still hadn’t finished the chain.
That’s probably a visual bug. I’ve run into it before. I’d get to Hallowfall during the scheduled Light phase and I’d be in Void phase for a few minutes before it finally switched itself. Or vice versa.
Game’s a mess. lol

It changes every 3 hours but some parts of it are also questline locked
