Rather enjoying this zone, but I am curious, do we ever find out what that star/jewel thing sticking out of the ceiling is?
Reminds me of the ships in Netherstorm that housed a bunch of 5 mans and a raid.

Might be related to Khaz Algar’s containment mystery. The beledar, black blood, and darkflame candle seem to all conjure shadow creatures. 
Except its not geographically in the right area of the planet.
The lore is the Beledar transported the Arathi down below during Mists of Pandaria but the Sword of Sargeras at the end of Legion has caused the crystal to phase into darkness.

If I were going to bet, that’s what I’d put some gold on. It’s a probably a Naaru gadget of some kind or other.

The story indicates that Beledar was present in the world at least as far back as Mists of Pandaria. The sword was not introduced to the world until Legion. Geographics aside, that would seem to be that.

Dude the sword is nowhere up above the isle so how the heck do you think its the sword?

That’s the key difference between fiction and fact – fiction has to make sense. (Or at least it ought to.)
They went over this in game. The Crystal was already there and present BEFORE the sword got stabbed in to the Sulithus zone.
It’s not a sword.
The Crystal did start to shift to void, the wow plot line characters assume the Day of Darkness is the same day when the sword struck.
Yeah it’s one of the more interesting mysteries in the zones in my opinion but they hardly say anything about it. I hope it’s explained more going forward.
