I accepted the derby quest and caught all the required fish. I got credit for the fish but did not go back to the npc to turn it in immediately, I log in and out a few times not to waste what’s left of my buff when I can’t play.
So I have 11 minutes or so left on my buff and go to turn it in and the quest is not giving me the option to turn in, but accept it. How can this be? I already caught everything they asked and got credit. Why can’t I get my derby marks?
The buff still ticks down when you’re offline. You’re supposed to turn it in within the hour you complete it.
You can turn it in and not lose the buff then continue to fish with the buff to try to get the achievement.
I actually had something weird happen yesterday. I did that. I caught the fish. Turned it in. Fished around and when I flew over the questgiver again … I had the option to do the quest again (I didn’t) … I think that’s a bug probably …
Yeahhh, it just happened to me. I didn’t know it had to be turned in asap, within the buff/time limit…
I caught everything with 20 mins to spare, went to the AH and ofc got d/c after buying a few lures to try to catch extra stuff before the buff ran out… Was able to log back in, but only had 3 mins left on the buff.
Apparently not turning it in asap was my mistake, because it claimed I ‘failed’ despite catching everything within the time limit… all because I didn’t turn it in first. 
This needs to be fixed. The quest states 25 marks when you pick it up. But at turn in, 3? C’mon. I don’t want to fish this on alts. My main is the fisher.
EDIT: Besides, you can’t even get the buff on alts. So, let’s not do this 3 per toon thing.
