Yet, numbers are in trend with past expansions as far as the numbers we know according to what I assume are the same metrics Bellular is using.
People act like this is something new. Ever since there isn’t a huge influx of new players all MMOs become cyclical, people come back and leave based on content releases.

If that true, then sorry - there’s no need to comment. You want best gear from casual play. Might I suggest just buying gold or going to a Pay To Win game so you can give zero effort for top end gear?

My hat doesn’t effect the balance of the game. Top end gear from trivial content does effect the game because each player doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

Blizzard continue to double down on things that are boring. It’s no wonder people aren’t hanging around.
Put me in charge for a few months and I’ll turn things around. I’ll also expect the best accommodation for free. A nice big pay check. And all meals paid for.

I don’t know if half are gone or that players are just playing half as much. I know for me, I don’t put in the same amount of time like I used to. I normally just log in to kill Sha of Anger for the week on my toons and do a couple of bg’s a day and that’s about it. I probably would be farming BFA raids, but I can’t even solo that so I have no reason to log in anymore. Thanks Blizz.

I guess - the question that comes to my mind is… how many of those subs were multi-boxer accounts just expiring?

That is actually a fair question. I am sure it is not a huge number of them but without a doubt they lost some over the change in that policy.
