The flail and shield are definitely used by trash in the raid.
I think Painsmith uses that scythe.
As for the others, I don’t know.

Idk. I was really really looking forward to 9.1 for transmogs, and most aren’t even there. Already got all I wanted.
Same thing as the new 1-10 leveling. No boots. No shields.

Because different artists work on different items. If they run out of things to do for a specific patch, they go to working on stuff for future patches. These are probably stuck in version control (git/svn) so they aren’t lost. The client database and graphics are built from version control. Easier than trying to remember to add them later.
It could be. There could be something in 9.1.5 that unlocks them.

Yeah I guess there’s covenant ones, but since it’s covenant tied, basically 1 new set.
Armor is decent, but there’s no weapons.
The only decent weapon from raid is polearm and caster dagger.
All the rest datamined that were amazing didn’t make it.
I had same hopes for dark iron dwarf heirloom shield and axe/mace, but never made it in the end.
Hope you’re right, I’ll come back for those if they pop up.
This is part of the issue with datamining, we expect everything we see in the data and are mad when it isn’t there. I am guilty of this as well, it disappoints me that those aren’t there, but if we weren’t so reliant on datamining we wouldn’t be upset. So I dunno how to feel.
Those Lordaeron and Scarlet Crusade shields bro. Heck, honestly the Silver Hand and Stormwind shields are cool too.
Blizzard, please just copy FFXIV’s Stormblood - give me an expansion with Dragon Isles and a reborn evil Kingdom of crusading Knights/Paladins. Lordaeron Reborn + Scarlet Brotherhood would make fantastic secondary antagonists for a Dragon Isles expansion if Dragon Isles is in fact off the northern coast of Lordaeron.

Same thing with Kul’tirans, I was hyped whole summer to play thin Kul’tiran, or big chonky Kul’tiran paladin. BFA comes out, can’t be paladin, can’t play thin caster.
Imagine the disappointment.
Still waiting for either Kul’tiran paladin or Night elf.
They’re in the game, just not obtainable.

OP said that one had a blue variant that’s actually obtainable? IDK, I can’t log in and look.
The blue variant is from the first boss in Tazavesh. No luck yet getting it.
They left out some cool one’s from the new newbie zone, I like the basic weapons and I wanted that 2h hammer.
The 2h sword from that place is so cool even if it is plain.
In all likelihood, the flails specifically were probably never intended to be made available to players as I think Blizzard intends to keep flails forever exclusive to the Mage Tower skins.
We aren’t ever getting another chance at unlocking flails for transmog ever again. At least I have no reason to think so, anyway.
