Half-orcs would be a good addition to the horde

Half-orcs exhibit a blend of orcish and human characteristics, and their appearance varies widely. Grayish skin tones and prominent teeth are the most common shared elements among these folk.

Orcs regard battle scars as tokens of pride and ornamental scars as things of beauty. Other scars, though, mark an orc or half-orc as a former prisoner or a disgraced exile. Any half-orc who has lived among or near orcs has scars, whether they are marks of humiliation or of pride, recounting their past exploits and injuries.

I’d really like playable Half-ogres and Half-elves. I feel like they inhabit a very interesting corner of the lore that doesn’t often get explored. They also would allow for some people to play as something adjacent to ogres and high elves (which will both most likely not be added for their own individual complex reasons) and simultaneously might offer new body type options for the races from which they draw their lineages (i.e. beefier orcs, skinnier humans, etc.).

plus they might get along well with the one horde leader that was raised by humans

Has there been any racial interbreeding in WoW lore? I can’t recall any that I have seen in-game, but I haven’t read all of the books.

What would a half-Orc half-Goblin look like? Why would “half human” be a restriction?

thrall was raised by humans

That’s not exactly the same as sharing genetic material between races.

Mok’nathal is orc + ogre, Garona is half human and quarter Draenei quarter orc.

is she still part human? I thought she was just orc/draenei now

Whelp, then I guess it is possible. The Wowpedia says she is 50/50 draenei/orc but believed she was part human at one point

Unfortunately:

  1. No male human could hope to handle a female orc.
    And
  2. No female human would be caught dead with a male orc, even if they were the last male on Azeroth.

she was originally half human half orc, but then they realized that kinda made no sense since there were no humans on draenor when she was born, but there were draenei.

Garona and Lantresor are half Orc/ half Draenei. Alodi, Arator, Giramar and Gladin are all half Human/ half Elf. Then of course you have the Mok’nathal

So there is somewhat of a history.

No, that description is actually Medan. Garona is half orc/Draenei.

I bet you could handel a female orc :open_mouth:

It’s always been my understanding that half elves have been extremely rare in WoW, and half orcs even rarer. Certainly too rare to be playable.

They’re as rare or as common as Blizzard needs them to be.

There could be five today and a thousand tomorrow.

half-orcs is a good substration to orcs…

as others said before, half orcs are mostly, orc/draenei or orc/ogre, Mok’nathal would be a good adition to horde.

in the other hand half elf/human wouldn’t be as good for alliance, dracthyrs will fill that spot aesthetically.

would you be into making one
