Anyone else notice that this talent doesn’t work all the time? Been noticing this more and more with m+. To the point where I’m having a hard time justifying taking this talent any more. Such a huge difference in dmg when it actually works and when it doesn’t.
Also wish they would draw back the nerf they hit it with a little bit. 15% is just too small right now to be in line with the other classes.
Dont forget elemental assault just makes the spec feel 100% better to play.
I’ve never noticed it not working, no matter how few MSW stacks I use; sometimes I pull with only 2 or 3 MSW stacks, or throw an after combat heal with however many I have left, and still have Hailstorm pop up.
Even after the nerf it still hits pretty hard, and it gives EA a chance to shine (and maybe Fire Nova if they buff it in some way). Before it was an absolute no brainer.

I’m not saying the buff doesn’t show up, I’m saying it actually doesn’t hit multiply targets. Stand in front of some dummies and get the max count. Then just sit there and wait for frost shock. See if it’s actually hitting all the targets it should.

Yeah, I’ve never pressed Frost Shock when I have any number of Hailstorm stacks and not had it hit multiple enemies. Besides when only 1 enemy is in range, obviously, but it still does the bonus damage.
I have not had any issues with it. Hailstorm is good for aoe. But if you want to be ST oriented take Elemental Assault. I changed between HS and EA. And as said above
This is the same for me running mythics last night it always worked but submit a bug report to the devs.
I love both hailstorm and elemental assault, but i feel aoe is never really an issue right now on enhance and without elemental assault my single target may lag behind a little more than i want to on single target, but hailstorm does so much damage… Lol. Decisions.
I ran a few M+ with this talent and found that either i’m just bad…or it just doesn’t feel great to play with. I ran higher keys then with Elemental Assault and man, this talent is just so much more fun to play with. I feel like my dmg is better overall since i just simply play better with it.
You should be hitting Frost Shock a lot, and Hailstorm just makes it do a lot more damage and to a lot more enemies.
Assault is just better. More MW, more CL more crash, stronger SS.
Plus its better single target too.
Tis how i’m feelin too. Just makes everything about the rotation in AoE/ST feel better.
