Haha nvm disregard

Unless I’m imagining things, and I’m certain I’m not, my pets health is noticeably lower than it was just earlier today.

Both my cat and wind serpent have significantly less health than me now.

Cat - 1363

Wind Serpent - 1390

No announcement that I found anywhere. Anyone else noticing a reduction?

Update:
This was my cat on 12/30, no fort on either of us

Update 2: disregard, I forgot I was testing Carve a few hours ago and woke up to my BM rune not being on my gloves lol

It’s almost exactly a 20% reduction in total health. Not sure what other stats were affected, but armor appears to have been untouched. Actual is still at 45% DR like he was a few days ago.

just hopped on my hunter to check - my serpent still has more hp than my warrior tank main, so not sure what happened

Did you get new gloves?

No, I was testing Carve before I fell asleep and when I woke up I had forgotten that I had Carve and not BM on my gloves lol

mea culpa ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Two things|
A) Buffs cap out on that UI at 4, so could have also had fort
B) Sometimes lion bugs out

That all said (I was typing before your edit, glad you figured it out!

I just live my entire wow life in a constant state of expecting incoming hunter nerfs. The nerfs are in the room with me rn.

Mood.

Honestly, anticipating some sort of Eyes of the Beast nerf (like damage reduction during so as to maintain the scout/RP aspect of it).

Potentially Wind Serpent but really on the fence about that one.

Realistically, Wind Serpent nerf is coming cause I finally maxed out my Wyvern XD

This is honestly the most reasonable and clever way of handling this that I’ve seen on the forums. I’m fine with them nerfing pet damage while under Eyes of the Beast by as much as 80% if they stop hitting it over the head for its overall damage

another one

Agreed. I feel like 80% might be overkill. I could see them even doing something smaller like 30% so it’s still useful without being as strong as it is currently. There’s not really room for a ‘Eyes of the Beast’ playstyle within PvE outside of niche situations and most of those are going to be tank situations which is easy enough to fix by slapping an additional threat modifier on Eyes to help offset the damage loss.

I know the last thing I want to see happen is eyes be removed or even have the duration/range gutted as I know it creates a lot of fun RP/Scouting opportunities while leaving a much more mild version of the PvP aspect that’s seen a big influx lately (likely due to the streamers dropping videos about it).

Why would they apply a dmg reduction on eye of the beast? You don’t 1v1 geared players with a pet unless they are bad.
In the whole history of WoW the only time it had a dmg modifier was a +50% through a glyph.
And you don’t scout with eye of the beast when you have an unlimited range eagle with a simple macro that doesn’t disconnect you.

Yes this is true, but the forum witch hunts would lead you to believe otherwise. Especially the posterchild video of the guy hunting with WS that screams 2008 PVP montage slamming people in Greens, however if a spell that’s predominantly used to jump over gaps or maneuver your pet mid raid has to get a penalty to stop the crying I’m fine with that

can confirm my pet was nerfed today, it took my WS 3 LBs to kill a mage instead of the usual 2
