Had about enough

Okay this is kind of an open letter to blizz though they won’t respond or even read it most likely. But its a valid thing. I just today (I took a hiatus for a few months since 8.3) got to doing the vulpera unlock. I had revered with them so I have been grinding it for about 3 weeks now to exalted. I finally get there. Spending gold on contracts and all that good stuff. Not to mention there is no way to grow your reputation outside of emissaries and WQ’s. We don’t even get the tabard option we used to have. So here I get to the quest. 100 of each of the three items, and two mobs only drop 1? are you kidding me? do you guys not have original ideas anymore? Do you guys care so much about making china happy with HoS and those other stupid games you make(overwatch excepted)? you can’t come up with good worthwhile content that isn’t a giant time sink? like: “oh let’s make it hard. I don’t really want to design anything so lets just make em kill 1,000 gnomes. yeah that should take em about 3 hours”. You guys are a part of activision, you aren’t strapped for cash. With the flub of diablo immortal and your terrible handling of the championship you would think you want to give players a reason to stay? but no everything you’ve done in BFA is just a grindy autonomous time sink that brings nothing to the game. I have been playing this game for 14 years. I know what it can be and Im infuriated that we are allowing this to pass for content. Please let me know if I’m the only one who feels this way, but I’m tired of the money hungry dumba**es in charge at blizz ruining it. You guys need a change in leadership. Is anyone else in the player base as fed up with this crap as I am?

TL:DR Grinding is boring.

Blizzard actually abandoned Heroes of the Storm.

Oof. Learn to paragraph.

Also, isn’t there an item you have to use on mobs to get them to drop more in that quest? I don’t remember off the top of my head, it took me like 15 minutes to do tops.

Yeah enlarge them and they drop like 15-30 or something…

That’s it, let it out. Let the rage out. Breathe…

There is an item called the enlarging totem he gives you, that gives you far more meat if you use it prior to killing the worgs/Panthers, ect.

this… you where doing it wrong. so basically this is a “waaaa I dont understand quest mechanics and thats somehow blizz’s fault”
I think that stage of the quest took me like 10 minutes, and I didn’t even care about unlocking vulps (just did it cuz i’d hit exalted anyways cuz of emissaries so why not)

TLDR: I didn’t read the quest and use the quest item on the mobs. Now I’m angry at numbers.

So what your saying is you didnt read the quest text.

I know your mad… but read the quest carefully… you have to enlarge the mobs so that they drop more of the item required. it isn’t a big grind and you’ll be done quickly once you get the hang of it.

I’m having a hard time understanding what’s happening in this wall of text, but what quest is this? I don’t remember anything like that at all.

Okay, I see. I remember that quest. It doesn’t take nearly that long. If I remember right you use either an item on them or kill bigger versions. If not, pull a ton and AoE them all down. I finished the vulpera unlock in ~30-45 minutes. The other two items aren’t from mobs.

Hey little tip not many know about: if you can grind out island expeditions (which are brain dead easy) you’re able to redeem 100 dubloons for 500 rep tokens. So there is actually a way to grind it out

Accusing Blizzard of pandering to China is pretty insignificant.

This entire industry panders to China, because that’s where money is to be had. Western consumers aren’t easy to shove to manipulate into spending more.

Though sadly that’s changing. Starting to see people here even on these forums beg for more monetization. Certainly making CEOs smile.

you have to grow the animals… there is an item given to you…

And? Seems pretty on point. Even in classic you’d be lucky is you got 1 quest item in 4 or 5 kills. But yea, like above says, read your quest log.

See, when I get to a quest like that, I assume I’m doing it wrong and reread the text, I dont run to the forums to cry that I cant read quests.

I truly hope that nobody actually killed 100 of the mobs without realizing what to actually do.

Yes few of us are tired. But the masses are lazy to do show any kind of solidarity. :man_shrugging:
