[H-RP/PvE] Blackheart Accord is recruiting!

This sounds promising! I’ll be looking you up.

You’re always welcome! We’re kind of in a waiting period for the pre-patch right now, but our events will begin the week of the 28th no matter what, to give people ample time to enjoy.

We had a good showing at Survival Island, but unfortunately we didn’t win this time. (But Denomar did get glitter bombed…poor Denomar.) Thank you very much to the Mercenaries Union for hosting us! We always love hanging out with our friends.

We’re hoping pre-patch is just around the corner, but even if it isn’t, our event campaign will begin September 28th! Now’s a great time to come join Blackheart. This week, we’ll be mostly hanging out with friends: Mulgore Monday is always a favorite, and we’ll have a social hour for Blackheart on Wednesday. We’ve also restarted our Conan Exiles server, and we’ve played several more rounds of Among Us. Phew. Come on, Shadowlands!

I would very much be interested in joining the Accord!

Not sure if we’ve interacted in game yet, but sounds like a fun guild. We’re a Horde military guild as well, maybe we could all do an event together sometime. Giving ya’ll a bump!

Hey there! If you want to reach out to someone in-game, you are welcome to. Anyone online can point you in the right direction, as many of our Wardens are hastily leveling alts before the pre-patch.

I am usually online in the evenings on Eleeria or Demonism. If you’d prefer to send me in-game mail, that’s fine too.

We’ve had a lot of recruitment this week, but we always have time and room for more interested in Blackheart to join us.

This week we had a guild social night on Wednesday, at which a few members of Vol’kar also came out to join us. Many of us have been caught up in plots in the open-world as we wait for Shadowlands…lots of social RP out there to be found, and we’re getting our fill before we dive into our plot.

Speaking of: our Main Campaign plot begins on Monday, the 28th! We know pre-patch is ??? but we want to make sure people get all the time they can to both play AND roleplay. This will be our last campaign until Shadowlands, at which point we will take a short lil break to ready ourselves for Castle Nathria and also enjoy the AWESOME expansion!

We had a good week last week, and didn’t let the pushback of Shadowlands stop us from enjoying our pre-patch plotline.

We have decided as a guild that we will simply look at this as a blessing: we’ll be able to get quite a lot of story into what was otherwise going to be a very small timeframe. So, our events continue unimpeded. Last week had us rescuing civilians from a tide of Scourge in the Barrens, and warding off the Scourge from our own Keep.

This week, we rescued several civilians who had been separated from their families during the ensuing rush of undead. And on Thursday, we will be hunting down the necromancers who are surely causing all of the issues near Blackheart Keep.

Also this week we have an AMAZING announcement: on Friday, we will officially be two years old! We are so excited to get to share another expansion with our members and with Wyrmrest Accord. Lormeus and I love this guild and all the hard work that goes into it from members to make amazing stories. Let’s hear it for several more!

This week continued our storyline of the Scourge. After taking heavy hits from the ingrained Scourge near the Keep, Blackheart was forced to withdraw from their attack or face losing several elites to an awful disease that seemed to coat the undead’s blades and claws. With that knowledge in mind, they look forward to routing the necromancers who have taken up residence nearby in the coming week. The hope is to rid the Keep area of the necromancers, as well as thin out the rogue, mindless Scourge being controlled by them, so that we are safe to take our help somewhere that more desperately needs it without fear of our home base being overwhelmed!

We are all very much looking forward to Tuesday as well; many of us have been planning on leveling alts, and I for one am a huge altoholic, so I can’t wait to make all my characters look as pretty as can be.

This week brought some of our events into the present time, starting tonight with the stealth event bringing the skybox into guild canon. On Monday, we finished up our ‘future events’ with a fun aerial attack on the scourge coming south from Duskwood into Stranglethorn. Fighter pilots, engage!

After a turbulent meeting of the Chimaera last week, wherein the Scar Blade Clan revealed that something was wrong with the sky in Icecrown, Blackheart set stealthed feet on the ground to get in and figure out what was going on. Finding that the Scourge are active again – and in force! – they found themselves surrounded by the undead and were forced to retreat before becoming overwhelmed.

We’ll be headed to Icecrown soon enough. Everyone is busy thinking of what class they wish to play, and testing out all of their specs. We’ll be finalizing what our raid team looks like in a few weeks for going into Castle Nathria on normal. This is Blackheart’s first time attempting a raid, and we’re very excited to give it a go. Eagerly awaiting the release date for Shadowlands!

This week started with a blast (of ice!) as Blackheart attempted to make their way to the Argent Tournament Grounds. Sieged by the scourge before they even arrived, their transport ships are stuck in a magical ice, leaving them stranded and wondering how to make their ascent up to Icecrown. Perhaps they should have taken the long way around through Borean…

Thursday we’ll be figuring out what to do about our stranded ships, but it’s been a chilly reception to the north thus far. We are hoping to get a decent chunk of RP in before the pre-expansion event drops (and adds in some weather effects to the zone that will make it difficult to do long RP events there). You’re always welcome to join us!

How are y’all with new (guild) rpers? I’m interested in giving this a shot, I love the concept and what you guys have going, but I’ve pretty exclusively done storylines with pals and not much else. If you have the patience, I have a paladin to toss in!

We are happy to work with anyone who wants to bring their characters into the guild, even if they don’t have a lot of experience with guild RP! We have helped new RPers as well as people who’ve RPed for quite awhile, but never in a large setting.

Blackheart has had a tumultuous week this week. After being frozen in the ice just outside of Icrcrown and the Tournament Grounds, they managed to break themselves free and come into the Grounds proper…

Where of course they were greeted with everyone’s favorite: an enduring Crusade pastime of pitting worthy Horde and Alliance champions up against increasingly difficult foes! Unfortunately, the Crusade did not check over the necromancer they threw into the pit. The man was able to call for reinforcements, nearly killing the crowd that had assembled and escaping in a cloud of poison gas off towards the Citadel.

Blackheart, after realizing that the Crusade would not be the best to rely on continuously, set out themselves into the wild of Icecrown. Taking over an old Saronite mine, they warded the surrounds with Light magic and created their own camp closer to the Citadel proper.

In raid news: we are still happy to have more people for our raid team, but we’ve got a good 2-4-9 going on right now! Which is more people than I thought we would get. We strive to be roleplayers first and foremost, but we are very excited to dip our toes into Nathria in about a month. Healers & DPS who enjoy RP are very welcome.

To the Members of Blackheart Accord,

Tonight, we mourn the loss of Sentinel Alionir Silversworn, Blood Knight of Quel’thalas and siege operations specialist of our own unit.

Silversworn was killed in combat with an unknown creature, resembling a val’kyr made of death magic. He died attempting to protect High Inquisitor Undercroft from being dragged away by the unknown foe.

The High Inquisitor was taken away in chains. We were unable to get close enough to stop it from happening. Operative Matzura reported that the creature dragged the High Inquisitor through the hole in the sky. As of right now, we do not presume the Inquisitor to be dead; only missing.

No one is to give chase. Tonight, we mourn. As tomorrow, we must press on. We must try our best to stop the Scourge from spreading farther than they have. Azeroth’s safety rests on our shoulders.

Kill for the living, kill for the dead.
General E. Silverwing

One more week of RP until Shadowlands! And PHEW, what a week it will be, and what a week this week has been.

Blackheart Accord made their move on their vicious attempt to clear out the valleys and quarries of Scourge on Monday, taking direct action to the heart of the swarm. After locating the necromancer who escaped them at the Tournament Grounds, they charged into the Cathedral of Darkness…only to find that High Inquisitor Theodorah Undercroft, one of our Wardens who had gone missing several weeks ago, had already beat them there. Theo struck the killing blow from out of her ‘cover’ as a Cultist, ending the necromancer’s life…

…but not before he sold her out. A mysterious figure, shaped like a val’kyr but with black, ominous wings and armor, wrapped Theodorah in chains and dragged her away. Sentinel Alionir Silversworn leapt to defend her – but was stabbed through the heart, killing him in front of the Accord. Needless to say, it was a bitter victory for Blackheart this week.

On Thursday, we answered the call of the Silver Hand however – duty marches on no matter the loss. We aided a contingent of Silver Hand paladins in closing the Wrathgate to prevent the Scourge from barreling south, into Taunka lands. And on Friday, we met with The Vol’kar Legion to welcome them to Northrend with soup and as many reports of information as we could offer. Always glad to find time to RP with our friends as they join us in the snowy north.

We have two more events in this pre-patch. Both will be run by our co-GM, Lormeus, and are a lead-in to the events we will be running starting December 14th. There is still time to get in on the action before we close recruitment for a few weeks so everyone can focus on the new expansion and the raid! Ping anyone in Blackheart and they can direct you to someone who can help with an interview.

Love the idea of this guild, and it’s been enjoyable to read about the adventures through the forum so far!

Would there be any way to reach out and contact someone through membership?

And of course, I replied using the wrong character. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry for the delay! We are definitely around to chat with you if you would still like. You can reach out to myself (Eleeria), Lormeus, or one of our Wardens: Irenna, Weleria, or Spellthieve.

If you’d prefer discord let me know and I can give you our Spellthieve’s discord, as she generally handles that.

Blackheart Accord,

I am certain I speak for everyone when I say that yesterday was devastating. Many people are badly hurt; many more are dead. The Scourge take, and continue to take from us.

All I can do is urge you – demand of you – to not give up .

We will hunt these strange creatures. We do not know yet what is beyond the sky’s broken corners. But we will gather our resources, and speak with our allies. We grieve, but we push forward, knowing that our fallen and missing would not want us to remain static. Our Warmaster and General would not want us to rest on our laurels, waiting for the end of days. They would rally us, encouraging us to continue. So we will do it for them – for them, and for all of our soldiers we have lost here in Icecrown.

We hunt, for those who cannot any longer. And we hunt for ourselves – for the satisfaction of knowing that those who did this will not have long for this world or any other. Our motto is ‘kill for the living, kill for the dead.’ Never has it been more relevant. Never should it light the fire in your soul more than now.

I can assure you that inquiries are already being made as to the nature of the wound in the sky and the dark val’kyr. We have allies who say they have killed such creatures in combat. We will find out what we can, and then we will strike at them, in such a Fury as Azeroth has rarely seen.

Take the time you need to grieve. But do not wallow.

Our vengeance will be swift and merciless. And we will find those who have been stolen from us.
Warden Ilaena Furiae, of the Warmaster’s Fist

Blackheart’s Main Campaign will resume again on 2020-12-15T02:00:00Z, with Into the Shadowlands.

Enjoy the expansion, everyone! We will be on a brief RP respite until mid-December to allow myself & Lormeus to catch up on the new content and also to get our raid team going.

Thank you for everyone who has expressed interest in the guild recently! We have an astounding 23 people signed up for raiding and have gained many new friends during the pre-patch and even before it. Promotions will be held sometime before the new campaign begins.
