THE STONEBLADE LEGION
[Horde - Heavy RP - Casual PvE/PvP]
The Stoneblade Legion is a close knit community of players and fans of Warcraft who came together and founded a guild over six years ago, and are still going strong today. Though collectively we play many games together we’ve made the migration to Classic and are now looking to expand our community further.
Our primary focus is roleplay, most of us having years of experience RPing both in and out of WoW. In fact, that’s how most of us met! But we’re also composed of players with various interests and aren’t limited to RP alone. Many of us enjoy Raiding end game content as well as participating in PvP. We welcome anyone as long as they share our interest in RP.
The Stoneblade Legion shares the name of our original guild in retail, but that’s where the similarities end. We’ve created a new origin story and no one is required to be a part of, or know about our retail guild.
Roleplay
The Stoneblade Legion was founded following the Horde’s defeat in the Second War by a small band of survivors led by the heroic Thorgrim Deadarm. Carving out an existence for themselves in the mountains they would famously carve weapons from rock in lieu of steel and iron, giving birth to their namesake.
The Stoneblade quickly grew into a formidable force within the Horde, standing out among other warbands for their adaptability and unwavering loyalty to the new Warchief. Serving as a division of the Horde’s forces during the Third War the Stoneblade their ranks swelled with the inclusion of trolls and tauren.
However, during the Battle of Mount Hyjal, Thorgrim and his legion of warriors were cut off from the Horde while covering their retreat. Waves of demons and undead eventually claimed the lives of nearly every one of the Stoneblade’s warriors, including Thorgrim himself.
What remains is little more than a militia which stands to honor of the once mighty warband. Though few in number, they are sworn to the Horde and serve as an elite force against its enemies. Recruitment is open to all people from every corner of the Horde. Even the aberrant Forsaken. All who can prove their worth are welcome within the Stoneblade Legion.
RP Events
We hold weekly casual RP sessions and campaigns done as D&D style adventure. Campaign events are typically once a week with a short break between campaigns. To conduct these events we use our own RP system inspired by D&D and other table tops systems that we have dubbed Rollcraft. It is built on a classic d20 theme with simple attributes, inventory and character traits.
We are also absolutely interested in networking with other guilds and individuals for community events and do make an effort to attend such open invitation as a group.
PvE and PvP
We’re a mixed bag of interests that extends beyond RP. We’re interested in forming Raid groups with other guilds or individuals to fit the 40man requirements, some of us having raiding experience dating back to Vanilla, and some with Heroic/Mythic experience.
We also have individuals excited to get involved in both world PvP and BGs once they are introduced, be they organized events or the occasional town raid. For the Horde!
