What is the Great Hunt?

The Great Hunt is a four day long hunt that pits the players against each other in a search for the biggest and baddest enemies they can find and take down.

Who can compete?

Anyone! Everyone! As always, we will accept anyone who wishes to come out and have a great time.

Hello hello, Wyrmrest Accord. Summertime is approaching and you all know what that means.

The Great Hunt draws near! This July the hunt will be gathering in Aszuna. A much smaller venue than last year, but by no means is it filled with any less terrifying things to encounter.

Everyone is invited to join in on this epic four day long hunt for the biggest, baddest, most epic encounters that you can find in the hunting grounds. Azsuna is a place with numerous different kinds of threats lurking around. Who knows what kinds of dangers await you there to overcome?

We will get together to have teams finalized and formed on July 10(Sunday) and the hunting days will occur during the following week. July 11, July 12, July 14, and July 15 will be the hunting days. The hunt will start at 5:30 PM server time and last for 3 hours. July 13(Wednesday) will be a day of reprieve during the event where participants can gather and enjoy a nice evening talking about their successes and the dangerous things they’ve encountered.

At the end of the last day the points will be tallied and the victors will be announced. There will be two winning teams and each participant will receive 100k gold, the prestigious title of Huntsmaster, and a commission from either https://twitter.com/anraheth or https://twitter.com/MiffedMist for winning the hunt. Come one and all to see if you can win the gold and the glory.

Those of you who wish to participate we have created an application sheet for you to fill out. Please have these filled out at the latest on July 10th before we start the Great Hunt. If we do not have an application form submitted from you before this time we will regrettably be unable to let you in on the fun.

This is by far the most fun, server wide combat RP event I have ever experienced. And Mohtoh is a master at writing encounters.

Mohtoh has done an amazing job with the Great Hunt. Last year’s was the first I ever got to participate in as a competitor and the effort that was put in was very apparent!

Please don’t miss out! You’re gonna love it!

(And I can confirm DM’s are always needed, so if you want to give DMing a try and you haven’t before, this is actually not a bad place to try it so long as you’re reading the encounters thoroughly on the host side)

It’s almost here, and it’s gonna be a great time! Whether you participate or DM (and we always need DMs!), you’ll get a -killer- experience out of it!

I am incredibly thrilled for this.

Last year I participated. This year, I’ll be one of the DMS. I greatly look forward to wiping out entire parties ensuring our players have a grand time taking on epic monsters and acquiring phat loots… and maybe helping them harass other players who opted into the PvP challenge!

(Note: The PvP challenge is optional; not flagged PvP. It’s a roll-combat experience between players and a chance to earn extra points towards the Great Hunt as a whole!)

Edit: It starts this coming Monday, 07/11/2022, and it’s not too late to sign up!
