IC: Magic. Some find it as vital to life as oxygen and sustenance, while others simply view it as a weapon to be turned on any they consider the enemy. Magic is a part of our everyday life whether we want it to be or not. We, the mages of Azeroth, have studied, cataloged, and refined the various Magic’s in existence into the greatest tools and weapons of this world. Yet, so much more knowledge lies undiscovered or locked away in long-forgotten vaults of knowledge, or locked away in great libraries like that of the Kirin Tor kept away from the masses.

House Delamer and I, Magistrix Ambre Delamer, have spent millennia under the great shield and now we finally have the chance to venture out to learn more of this world and learn from its people. This is our voyage, the voyage under the Crescent moon. No magic shall be deemed taboo so long as its wielder is responsible, no magic will be locked behind doors. No. We shall open our knowledge to all!

So, be ye a wise shaman, a pious priest, powerful warlock, a studious wizard, or a savvy druid. Crescent Voyage wants you to be part of our community!

OOC: Crescent Voyage is a laid-back, 18+, magic-focused guild and community. We’re a Horde-aligned group coming together to study the various magics of Azeroth and to share knowledge with each other and those willing to learn.

We do not make it mandatory to join the guild. You can join the roleplay even if you have a guild already! We believe that a community should be open to all people guilded or unguilded. You will be treated as a full member regardless of if you join the guild or the community.

What we offer are various events. We have a social night held in (Northrend) Dalaran as a proxy for our ship Althor’s Hope, a casual PVE Night where we run old content together, monthly meetings to share updates on projects hand out promotions and to discuss various topics, D20 Events hosted by various dungeon masters.

Hello there peoples! Crescent Voyage is going to host the first in-house campaign named Ghost Ship Ahoy! starting on February tenth (10th). This campaign is for members and invited allies! From today until the 10th I will occasionally be posting rumors in the discord and here. These rumors have been spread by the sailors aboard Althor’s Hope to the commoners of Orgrimmar while on leave.

Here is the first IC rumor!

Ever since the end of the battle in Bilgewater Bay, there’ve been mutterings of a ghost ship among the crew of Althor’s Hope. It came out of nowhere they say. It attacked the CVS Mad Magistrix during its retreat or so claimed a drunken crew member over a glass of wine.

Good afternoon!

I would like to take a moment and offer a little bit more information on Crescent Voyage’s upcoming campaign: Ghost Ship Ahoy! The campaign will consist of three (3) sessions followed by an after-party. Each session will be held on Fridays starting on the 11th of February. There will be intermission RP sessions happening in-game or on the Crescent Voyage discord RP channels on Mondays or Tuesdays (to be determined).

The Intermission RP will consist of examining clues found in detail, research, strategy meetings, and so forth. These are more freeform and entirely optional but would make for some fun RP! Both Members and Allies of Crescent Voyage are welcome to attend these.

The campaign will be preceded by a short story written by me which will be posted both on the forums and in the Crescent Voyage Discord.

We will be using the Coalition D20 System including the perks and expertise rolls! Please make sure you are a little familiar with the rules set.

The Campaign schedule will be as follows:

  • Session one: Friday, February 11th.
  • Intermission: TBD
  • Session Two Wednesday, February 23rd.
  • Intermission: TBD
  • Session Three: Friday, March 11th.
  • After Party: Saturday, March 12th.

Watchman Arjuth aboard Althor’s Hope claims that he saw something inside of a fog bank following the ship as it traveled from Azshara to Val’sharah. A ship he claimed. A giant man-o’-war. But it was gone after he blinked. He dared others to take the 3 AM watch.

Irvy, the original person who claimed to have seen the ghost ship claims that she saw it again off the starboard bow of Althor’s Hope. In the dead of night coming from the fog. But when others take the 3 AM watch: Nothing.

Two (2) more days until the first session of the campaign!

Irvy, Arjuth, and Javi, did not report for duty and are nowhere to be found even after a full search of Althor’s Hope. The crew is deeply unsettled and some say that they were taken by the ghostly crew! Work has ground to a halt and morale is at an all-time low.

Captain Seabreeze has opened an official investigation into the disappearance of the three watchmen. Various crew members report having night terrors of dead restless souls standing over their bed leering at them. However, these have been dismissed as stress-induced hallucinations.
