I plan on raiding on a horde PvP server. Raid times seem legit. Any plans for Saturday afternoon activities? What does your roster look like so far? How will you determine distribution of legendaries (other than the obvious thunderfury going to the main warrior tank)? Do you have any specific plans for PvP activities? Are you looking for people to take on any sort of leadership roles? Are you 100% set on the guild name (I have some fun suggestions)? Are you willing to help me find Mankrik's wife? Is that a hunter weapon?
I'm going to be maining a tauren druid. I'm willing to play resto, bear tank, or even DPS as a cat or boomkim if you really feel that will be best for the guild.
But of course I'd like to know more about your guild.
All great questions --
Formally, I'd say no on the weekends. Informally, we're all pretty big nerds at heart and I know a couple people have already said they want to push rank 14 at some point, so my head tells me we will probably have quite a lot of non-raid guild activity. We definitely have in the past iterations of our team.
Our roster has about 8 players so far, though I'm guestiating I'll retain 10-15 people I've known in the past from Classic release. We wanted to get an early start on recruitment so we're prepared for the official release. Our recruitment practices stand sturdy and consistent as this method of filter by way of effort, etc has worked well for us in the past. I'm hoping to have a big community.
Loot is always a good subject to head off. I've built out a system called Forte Points, but it's not yet complete, however I do have it accessible and available for real time updating on our website. This is always subject to change, but my leadership method is built around transparency, so I will safely say that whichever we pick, it will be extremely easy to understand and follow so there is no risk of "why did this happen?" etc. I have a rule when it comes to officers. Everything brought to me needs to be in a format that everyone is able to see. In other words, nothing behind the scenes in terms of guild changes. As for Legendaries, I suspect a bit of council will go into that, but raid attendance, performance, consistency with preparation and helping others I'm sure will all factor. While I'm not opposed to gearing an officer, in the past it's very rarely worked out that way. Usually we have some clear raiders that are best suited first. Atiesh will be a puzzle :)
Yes -- We are absolutely looking for leadership. I've outlined the following roles in our general leadership core:
All Roles - General input on guild decisions and part of counseling as it pertains to changes on the guild structure/direction
Distribution - Manages loot system / points / distribution. Must be very organized and keeps numbers up to date. Investigates any appeals at week-end and manages item costs / bypass exceptions etc.
Banker - Also extremely organized. Complete control over IO for the guilds assets/resources. Manages any funding projects as well as donations.
Raid Lead - Vocal leadership within the raid. Starts group 15 minutes before start of raid time and controls the flow/strategy within raid times.
Recruitment - Front face of the guild. Keeps competition fresh and identifies needs within our team. Works closely with Raid Lead to coordinate for future encounters / guild needs
Role Leads - Provides leadership and feed back for each role. Ranged for all ranged, melee for ALL melee, etc. They review performance and make recommendations to the officers based on what they're finding.
Yes - Forte will be the guild name!
I'm always down to locate someone's wife. No hunter weapons for you. You will raid by punching enemies. Also no cloak. I dunno that just sounds more amusing.
