Looking for your forever home? Seeking a guild that is more like family? Interested in raiding with hardcore players without all the elitist nonsense?? Feast or Famine
might just be in your wheel house.
Feast or Famine is a new guild with aspirations of server cluster superiority, while allowing their players to have a life AND a voice. The leadership hails from the old guild Nepentheum that was top 2 on their server(Silvermoon) as a late night guild(in those old days), and has an axe to grind in this new expansion. We started from nothing, while essentially running pugs in Naxx in Wotlk, to becoming one of the dominant forces on our server. All that sounds fantastic, but I know you are thinking, what can we offer you that other guilds cannot?
*A guild bank system that is both unique and pivotal to success and progression. How we do it is offer discounts of up to 75% off the auction house prices on most any goods you will need to become the best equipped raider you can be.
*A COMMUNITY. How many guilds have you been in where guild chat is often vacant of meaningful conversation, comedy, or even active at all?? We believe that community propels us above and beyond others. Without working together, we are merely scattered souls seeking resolution at raid time. We encourage getting to know your fellow guildmates and working together to conquer our ambitions. We laugh, we joke, we aren’t politically correct in most cases and take pride in that. We strongly support players with a sense of humor and ability to ignore social stigmas. The sentiment within leadership is that we are only as strong as our weakest link. We are MUCH STRONGER when we are bonded and often galvanized by fires of tribulation.
*A chance to push the threshold of progression and advance your character stat sheet. We will work tirelessly to set up to M+ guild runs, find the best strategies/roles for our players and inform our family on how best to kit their characters for maximum value. We will raid 3+ nights/week to ensure we are aggressive and maintain dominance within our cluster. Our tentative raid schedule is 8pm-11pm(Est) Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights.
*We give you empathy and a life beyond the game. Personally, I love pushing the limits, but I also like to relax and have a social life. That said, we dont raid weekends only, as we like our members to enjoy their personal life and family, while still being able to experience the content at high levels. Things happen in life, we understand this much. We aim to provide a raid schedule not too demanding but still enabling our players to see content at a fast pace and get those loots.
That is a taste of some of the amenities you will be provided in Facts Over Fiction.
Now, let’s get on to what we expect of you…
*We expect our raiders to min/max
*We expect our raiders to be prepared for upcoming raids. This includes, but is not limited to, studying strategies, having consumables, enchanting accordingly, and showing up consistently.
*We expect our new members to donate to the guild bank. Now, before you get all triggered, understand Rome wasn’t build in a day. Our rank system is strongly tied into our guild bank system. You reap what u sow. Once u stick around and prove you are Facts over Fiction heralds, then you can reap the tremendous benefits of our elaborate guild bank system to save LOTS OF GOLD in the long run. We just ask our members to help contribute mats for flasks, enchants, feasts, etc to not only help build up the coffers, but help out the entire guild. I say this being a player who constantly fishes to provide feasts. Selish players have no place in Feast or Famine. We are only as great as the sum of our parts. One band, one sound.
*We expect you to have a personality and work with your guildies. If you always find yourself seeking refuge in solitude and care nothing for meaningful and often long lasting relationships, dont waste our time. We strive to build strong bonds and enjoy our time with our members and do so without being judgmental of one another. We all have our differences, but common bonds will unite us in ways you may have never experienced in your days in Azeroth.
*We expect you to show up. We will have signups for raids, and it is your job to be there. We aren’t gonna hold your hand or listen to a myriad of excuses ad nauseum. Things happen, yes…but we need our players to be mature and accountable. If consistency becomes an issue, we can and will demote you in rank(which means you lose significant guild bank discounts) or just limit your ability to raid(We may put you on a bench/wait list for example). We are a family and family shows up for each other. We don’t need nor want flaky people in our midst. We are looking for players who strive to be accountable and push the limits.
We expect our players to have a mic and discord. We encourage players to engage in that environment, and contribute when they can. As I said numerous times, we are a family. Often, you can find a bunch of players chilling in voice chat rooms just shooting the proverbial sht or engaging in meaningful conversations. The strong bonds we create in our off time galvanize us in preparation for a raid atmosphere.
*We expect players to be accountable and handle criticism/advice without ego. We will call out players who make detrimental mistakes or repeated ones. We wont get better otherwise. I am not shy about instructing players or pulling cards. We all make mistakes. It’s how we learn from them that defines who we are as raiders. If you can’t make mistakes, and learn from them after being called out for them, this is NOT THE PLACE for you! On the flip side, have some humility and you will find our methods not only refreshing but enlightening.
*Last but not least, we expect your input and viewpoints. While not exactly a democracy in every situation, we DEFINITELY value input from our players. We got a server first in ICC back in those days because a guildie presented a solid strategy based on our raid comp. Not only did his strat work, but I personally gave him credit. I give credit where it is due. I dont have ALL the answers. All the eyes I can get will make us stronger, and historically that has been one of our strongsuits.
Now, if this sounds intriguing, this is where the next step presents itself. I personally interviewed everyone back then, and that will remain the same moving forward. I like to think I am pretty damn good at judging a fit. If you think you can help this guild, please feel free to set up an “interview” on Discord. Currently, we are recruiting all roles and specs. This isn’t so much as a “beggers can’t be chosers” philosophy as it is me lowering the walls of the dam. We will pug and recuit until we have enough players to run full guild raids. It wont take long, this much I am sure of.
To grease the wheels, hit me up on discord. My tag is MisterNibb #6007. From there, we will see if you are a fit for our family. Thank you for reading this far and I look forward to possible aapplicants.
