Astares Thanatos is a guild that loves progression and raiding as well as having fun along the way. The guild is run by past Mythic raiders with the insight to push Heroic / Mythic progression at a casual pace of 2 nights a week.
We are now currently looking for dedicated players for the coming 9.1 release as the guild has finished last content 6/10M. We are extremely happy with this result and are pushing to be better with the upcoming raid.
The Guild Master was in a few of the top guilds in Oceanic back in BC / Wrath, including Jelly and Wipe. The GM Assist was a part of a guild named Reboot back in WoD and was at a stage number 1 NZ guild and top 20 AUS guild for progression.
What the GM, I and the other officers can guarantee is that we are committed. We have extensive raiding experience all the way back to the original classic days and will use all of our experience to progress further.
In saying that, we are not a hardcore guild. We raid 2 nights a week instead of the old 3-4 nights because people have busy schedules and we understand that. We want to achieve the best possible progression for the guild, but at a casual pace, with dedicated and veteran raiders.

All DPS applicants welcome.
Any applicants that are not a part of the roles are still welcome. However, we are not in need of any tanks for the raid team.
Raid nights are Mon and Tues 8:30 - 11:30 ST (Sydney Time) with a 5-10min break.
Our ultimate goal for the guild will be to complete the AOTC for the tier and push Mythic content. We are not looking to smash this out or to get ourselves frustrated at not clearing it fast enough. We want to have fun in the process and take every kill as a bonus for the tier we have achieved.
With our team’s previous high tier raiding experience I can reassure you that we have organised and planned raids.
We use discord for communication and signing up for raids, as well as for sharing ideas and tips with each other to help progress through each raid. What we can provide you is a relaxed raid team with less drama and finger pointing.
We are looking to complete our raid team to around 25 people to get ready for mythic progression. Our guild is after mature dedicated players wanting to achieve the same goals as us. We are after communication in the raid team and welcome you to share your personality with us.
Applicants will be required to have an interview with one of the officers or GM/Assist.
Heroic/ Mythic raiding experience is preferred although is not a necessity. If you believe you can hold your own in the raid team with stable DPS and be aware of the raid mechanics, then it is not essential.
We are also happy for people that are looking for Mythic+ content to join. We want to push more Mythic+ Content this patch and have constant groups going throughout the week.
We require a trial process for our new raid members. This will consist of 4 raid nights that will each be assessed.
We also wish for raiders to accept constructive criticism where it is needed and despite pushing a casual pace to achieve AOTC for the content, repeat offenders that fault mechanics will be noted.
Add on’s like Bigswigs / lilwigs, Weakauras and Exorsus will be needed for raids.
Everyone has a part and a role to play. If we are dedicated, then we expect dedication in return. Turn up prepared with full enchants, food, flasks etc.
We expect good attendance from our raiders. If you are committed then you must show us, turn up to raids and be prepared for the kills.
Absence is okay when presented and noted in advance. Although if there are no shows after signing up for raid it will be noticed.
