i tried it multiple times myself and felt the same way, until i eventually came back and pushed past it. i absolutely love the game, it just doesnt get me addicted the way the wow endgame does. but when im over it and just want fun, gw2 is fun.
they wont admit when they are wrong about anything. about 100x a day i wish i would become an overnight billionaire and walk into blizzard and buy myself conversations and changes that i want in the game. i want to look the guy in the face that absolutely refuses to let us try ONE season, even a fated season nobody is playing, without affixes. just one freaking season that they are already ripping everyone away from with mop and cata classic overlapping. i just want to ask the guy why hes such a coward
I don’t play GW2, but I play FFXIV. There’s a lot of things I enjoy about it: the depth of the story, the extensive choice of clothing and the ability to dye it, housing, GPOSE… But as I’m sure you’ll notice, none of that really relates to gameplay. WoW is vastly superior in that sense, at least for me. The combat feels so much smoother, the amount of endgame content is much bigger and far more engaging, and tbh WoW’s modding community improves the game when mods are a bannable offense on FF.
Overall, the gameplay wins out for me. But if WoW ever introduced equivalent of FFXIV’s level of customisation, fashion, housing and GPOSE… I would be so, so happy.
FF14 is getting it’s first WoW-esque style transmog/glamour system in Dawntrail. New slot for face accessories like glasses, sunglasses, etc. that doesn’t use the physical storage . Everyone is now wondering if they will expand it out in the future.
I gotta say people go on about how amazing the story of FFXIV is and from what I played of it, the story really didn’t grip me. I got into Stormblood before I dropped it.
Not that WoW’s story is amazing or even better, but I’ve been playing old Final Fantasy games and I wouldn’t even put XIV as one of the best FF stories much less video game stories.
In TWW the warband feature will no less be more resilient than those other mmos has to offer. And also, our transmog feature is getting some further improvements in TWW due to them letting a cloth user and collect a plate armor piece and it will go towards your account collection and when you make a plate wearer toon that toon will have access to the armor set that you have accumulated. Also coming in the warband feature is allowing you to transfer how many currency you want to your other toons. So our features will soon be ahead of our competition.
Those that says otherwise why not point out your mmos features that will outrank TWW features.
Warbands is just a QoL update. The fact that people are claiming it’s some special new feature just means you are buying into the marketing lol. Having various things being account wide has been an ask for years by players.
I am so sorry, but I had to step in and post this.
You’re telling me that the games use completely different combat? It’s point / click and pew pew. Hell, in WoW, you can’t even cast spells at times because you have to stand still where as it is actually more dynamic in GW2.
GW2 has better and more interesting leveling, fun game and the story stuff is fun… but the gameplay and PVP are just okay.
FF14’s job system is fantastic and the story is really good. Gameplay once again is lacking, with the longer GCD and forced animations.
WOW has the best gameplay, but a really weak story and leveling experience, plus it’s PVP is the best of the three and has the most players that do enjoy PVP.
It really depends on what you care about most… I’ll play FF14 through it’s story and probably do raids, but WOW will always get me back because it’s gameplay is so superior and PVP.
