Guys are human too. Least we can be whatever we want in game.
Ahahahaha those guildies are so insecure. By the way they acted, they are most likely the type who have level one Alts or trials for MG purposes. Most of our GS is just trials and lowbies of people from raid servers hiding to do their thing
I’ve never understood this. Who cares if you are a guy playing a female or a female playing a guy. I’m gonna go out on a limb that this only matters to people who are the nosy type, bored or just want to watch the world burn. It’s a fantasy game.

Yeah but on their insecure little head. Erping with a guy controlling a female is "h.o.m.o" (REALLY BLIZZ!? THIS IS A BAD WORD FOR YOU!?) somehow...even tough you are thinking about the character you are seeing in front of you not the player

Goldshire has so much stigma, but its frankly so much fun and loads of arguable good RP does actually happen there surprising as it may seem to outsiders. Though it definitely is the go to spot for some of the more lewd forms of RP.
My NB female used to run w/ black mageweave pants... Or undies I guess.

Now I've matured.
No problems so long as everyone knows you're a guy to begin with, and yes I'm speaking for myself as well.
I play both genders and most but not all classes and races.

I also think this is a topic i feel one could save their reply to copy paste in the future as its a regular "favorite" that appears about once each week or two.

Let me say your main issue isn't your character its you play on moonguard. In my experience there's a higher concentration of "special" people on that realm than on most others.

I also can't resist the thought , when talking about this issue , that the main people who get bent out of shape are teenagers or immature adults who want to hit on women IRL so when they learn that female character is really a dude it upsets them.

As ridiculous as it may seem I think thats all it boils down to.

For me and why i play both genders .. understand im a true gaming nerd i enjoyed table top d & d over 25 years ago...i was a DM for years i played crpgs since the commodore 64 days ive written my own short stories around fantasy rpg settings etc.

How i create my characters in wow is merely the extension of that rpg nerd coming out. Warriors are males ,mages are females , warlocks are both but mostly female, hunters both , paladins males etc etc.

Its all just engrossing myself into the game...thats it.

I only break out the black mageweave for transmog contests nowadays
I've never had that problem, but I also keep my female and male toons dressed modestly.

However, the one time someone did have a problem with something they found out about me, was in the guild I was in back in WoD. I am an Asian man who is married to a White woman. TeamSpeak got really quiet after that scandalous bit of information was revealed. Oops.

Tumblr is oddly the same if someone gets all butthurt at me. Just "Man why is this dude so ang-" *sees they're like 19 on their blog* "OH THATS WHY"
The reason it's more offensive to be a guy playing a girl toon than a girl playing a guy toon, is that girls have a legitimate reason to play guy toons...men are creeps.

Guys playing girl toons have no excuse that I know of. Unless they want to use sexual appeal or whatever to earn gold, position in raids and so on...that's a legit reason.

Got someone to pay for my flying back when it was super expensive with that lol

I'm a female playing a guy. In all my years playing female characters though, I've never experienced real problems beyond a slightly flirtatious whisper. Stuff like that should never at any rate should never deter someone from playing the gender+race they love. Also FYI. I picked this character because I felt the males look much better than their female counterparts.
It is just weird to play a female character when your not female.

Sometimes you just have to be extra dainty and almost too polite in text if you want someone to help you that way.

It does. Not only because we have the "Eeww sex! That offends me" crowd. But because quite frankly lots of weird stuff happen there.

For me ERP is a consequence not the objective. If I m rpying a flirty character chances are it will happen sometime. Or even if my character is not a skirtchaser there s always a chance of him finding someone he connects to xD like this goblin here who s mow married. And this is the last character of mine I ever tough would get married cause he s very antisocial and well...he s a goblin they are not exactly the cutest thing out there
Just be like "OMG so rude!, it's 2018!, You don't know me or what i stand for!, I'm so triggered right now!"
Then report them for extreme sexual and mental harassment
