How are you getting it to work? I use to use it, but Blizzard has supposedly stopped poeple from altering sound files.
It got updated recently, but it never actually stopped working after all this time.
I downloaded the files through Curse, and that’s was all that was required. Is back to having to downloading the files and creating a sound folder with the gun sounds?
I use Curseforge (attached to Overwolf) and it just…installs everything into the addon folder for OldGunSounds, including the audio components.

OP, there is an addon that brings the classy archer weaponry back. It’s called OldGunSounds. You have to use CurseForge to get it.

It’d be cool if they made sound Glyphs for guns, like laser bolts, machine gun, even the movie-type silencer shot!

you know what would really make everyone happy? a slider in “Sound” where you could lower the gun or even spell FX sound independently, if its too loud just lower it to an acceptable level without ruining other peoples experience.

i’m not sure how you said that with a straight face considering we had normal gunfire sounds all the way up through Legion and we still have the sounds of cannon fire and a few other explosive items that also represent very similar and dangerous real life elements. It was a sound file that got changed. It wasn’t some big offensive effort. you should probably stop talking out of your backside like it’s a fact, and not an opinion.

It was honestly so awful. Why didn’t they just make a silencer with engineering which muffled it if you didn’t like it.
I love the sound of bows, so when I’m on my hunter it’s the bow gang life for me.

The genuine sound of an AR15 or AK47 blasting away probably would take away some of the immersion from Jimmy casting Fire Ball.
