You really need to learn anything Ragemode posts is a bait thread. He is absolutely stirring the pot and making stuff up.
I have never been in a guild that charges, and I have never heard of a guild charging to be a member. They ask you to contribute but dont make it required.
I would avoid those kind of guilds like the plague.
if the guild leader was hot yâall know you be giving that gold up whether girl or guy.
RoFL. My elite guild was doing their best to give us free flasks/potions. And the guild sometimes shoulder for our repairs. But it doesnt happen all the time. Some guild members too chip in helping the guild supply its raiders with consumables. My contribution to the guild is i give them free high end enchants if they give me the mats. Sometimes, i offer them my extra mats for free.
Nobody from my guild was paying gold. But they offer help on getting mats needed for consumables and enchants.
I am self sufficient on my needs. I render time instead to farm for stuffs before the Raid. I had few sleeps when i was a hardcore. I lacked sleep for more than a year but i enjoyed being an elite as i was a member of an elite guild. I did PvP too on my own when i was with them. I was on top of the foodchain. I have to enjoy my benefits.
But in time, i got tired. It was fun while it lasted. They kick non-performers though. I left when my chosen class got nerfed. They were willing to keep me by assigning me to a different role. But i realized that i need to leave. My game addiction needs to be fixed. So i did leave.
But cant leave WoW. Instead, i became a casual. It works for me for years now.
Nope. My aotc guild provides everything for free. However, donations and contributions are quite common and raid attendance is beneficial.
We canât be that lucky, unfortunately.
Off to the void. Your posts no longer amuse me.
lol I have and itâs great.
Thatâs cheap. Mineâs like 10 mil. / week!

Unless its a cutting edge guild that supplies all its members with food/flasks/repairs/enchants/etc no guild should charge and I would be suspicious of any that does. That there was some embezzlement going on
I did on my old guild I used to run in order to keep guild bank full of gold and in return I gave out HUGE rewards to our top place RBG winners and stuff. A Swift Spectral Tiger I used to give out almost once a month to the person who was voted to be top best at PvP in the guild for that month. One guy even won it on his main and an alt.
You charge them to be there, you should give something back like I did. Otherwise it is almost unethical. I gave out massive gold rewards too. Other guilds have done similar things but I have not heard of such a thing for almost a decade now.
no we just bring our own consumables. feasts we just share back then idk if in DF there are feasts still. only time im paying someone is for enchants/gems/etc⊠if i need them i go through guildies first to support them.
been in 1 or 2 guilds demanding we pay for our guild rankings/we paid a monthly fee towards the guild bank. i left that guild quick. i wasnât even part of their raid team and im pretty sure the game still takes a chunk of gold you loot and generates a % of it for the guild your in.
500k? The GM and officers better be sending feet pics (socks are allowed, but no crocs please)
LOL. Thatâs hilariousâŠ
The only one Iâve seen was back in the Cata/MoP era letting people pay for a guild spot per week to buy the unlockables a guild could earn. You needed revered rep with the guild so you paid per week to stay in the guild while you presumably earned rep. You werenât allowed to even see guild chat let alone actually speak as they wanted to make sure you knew your place.
An old tyrant GM I raided with who glorified the mafia had stupid rules like requiring everyone to have 100 health and mana pots on you at the start of every raid and supposedly had an addon that could check. Very typical screamer and power tripper. He also would demand arbitrary amounts of gold if he deemed you effed up on a pull or you got gkickedâŠsupposedly that was âwipe compensationâ but I never saw a copper of that nor was we given any consumables. Gods how I despised himâŠ
Granted I know the OP is just an idiot and trolling, but it doesnât make sense in todayâs age to âpayâ for a slot on a guild roster. Guilds are hanging on by a thread anyway and with cross realm and cross faction grouping, they have minimal actual power. I can see them demanding use of your profession and think it is warranted provided they also did the work to help feed you mats/patterns.
That all said, I do know that certain âtopâ guilds have simp guilds where literal simps and âfriendsâ of the main roster get to sit where there is a (un)spoken expectation that you are to simp and farm for the âmainâ guild and your contributions are nominally tracked and when it comes time for farm content or warm bodies are needed, those that have earned favor get to soak up the unneeded gear and get their achievements and whatnot.
I doubt yours does either. No one would stay in that guild - maybe this is a special âragemodeâ price.

Wow, man, thatâs rough.
So is it Esprit or Brave New World that youâre apparently implying that theyâre scamming their members that we should be watching out for?

Only ones ive heard charging a fee that high are ones who carry people thru content. But in general its not unusual for a guild to ask for a donation of some sort, especially high progression guilds. If they are supplying all consumes (pots, flasks, feasts, armor kits, crafted gear, boeâs etc etc) then some may ask for more or less. But usually its either a gold amount or a few stacks of materials.
Normally aa high prog guild will just sell keys or heroic clears to pay for anything
I can bring my own consumables for a fraction of that.
One of the consumables is MDMA.
