Guild bank vault become character specific vaults available to every character, and guilds would only be about having guild chat and certain perks. That is, we would all have our own guild banks on every toon. Let’s face it, it’s not like guilds are handing out loot candy left and right.
Joining a guild would be more about having others there to do content with, dungeons, raids, as well as having a social outlet in the form of guild chat and everything else about guilds would remain the same.
That way, we’d all have infinitely more storage space.
Except the purpose of a guild vault is to share resources without having to actively transfer something from one guild member to the other. I am all for more personal storage space, but there is no reason to take it away from guilds in the process.
??
Why not just ask for more bank storage? Why take guild-wide storage away from guilds?

You can still transfer items between guild characters but this would help guild members have their own storage vaults.
That is, every toon would be able to have their own storage vault instead of guilds having a monopoly on who gets what and how often.
You can have guild storage and personal storage. There is no need to remove guild storage. You can ask to have something added without also asking for something to be taken away.

we already have a “personal storage space”, its called the bank, lol
if a guild started doing it what would happen when you leave/get kicked? do you get all your items that may not fit in your bp/bank or dose the guild keep the items (i can see that becoming a problem)? if you need more space, just upgrade your bank and get bigger bags. adding guild storage is just a extra unneeded layer
Because the guild vault storage layout and option is, in my opinion, better and we would still have our bank tabs as well but a guild vault is more spacious.
We’d have a lot more space if we had both a personal bank and a character specific vault instead of one guild vault at the mercy of guild leaders that players aren’t able to store all their personal items in and guild leaders and officers normally run a monopoly on.
Having our own character vaults would allow us more freedom to store and withdraw items, from profession gathering to profession crafting items to items we wish to sort out later or decide to auction.
You still are failing to answer the question.
Why can we not make better personal storage and leave guild storage alone? They do not serve the same purpose. There is no need to replace one with the other.

I’m saying give everyone storage vaults so it would be character specific for your mains and alts instead of it only being available to guilds.
Share the love around with players whether they are in a guild or not. Make it available to everyone, not just a select few.
That’s fine, but you also said remove guild storage.
Why?
I still don’t understand why removing the guild vault would be appropriate. Are you saying that you want a change to the Bank UI? Or are you saying that you want more storage space? Or perhaps both?
There’s always the option to make a guild of one on a bank alt and get “infinite” storage that way.
Although, I have a feeling that this is a personal matter between you and some guild master/officer.
I said make vaults available to everyone, not just to guilds. So guild leaders and guild officers would still have their own character specific vault that works like a guild vault.
Everyone would have a guild-like storage vault.
Edit - I’m not in a guild… on any of my characters. I have my own personal bank guilds that I run and only have me and my toons in it. But it’s one of the reasons I don’t raid or join other guilds… so I can keep my own storage space.
It won’t function like a guild vault if it is personal.
I put things in the guild vault for use by the guild members. I do not want to have to trade on a one by one basis. I want to dump everything in (food/potions/flasks/etc etc) and have people take what they need without any action on my part beyond depositing things.
