Hey, just joined a guild and went a bought a generic guild tabard, will that get me rep with the guild i joined or do i need to buy one from the guild. If so where and how do i get it?
You’ll need either the Illustrious Guild Tabard (50% extra guild rep) or Renowned Guild Tabard (100% extra guild rep.) You can get both from the guild vendor (not the tabard vendor.) I think if you ask a guard in Stormwind/Org, they can direct you to the guild vendor.
Both tabards are bind on account, and do require rep with the guild the character buying them is in. So, if you have a character in a different guild with the needed reputation, they can buy it. I think you need friendly for the Illustrious and honored for the Renowned. (The requirement is just to buy them, not to wear them, so once you buy them, you can mail them to any of your characters to use.)
