Guild tabards are apparently no longer transmogable nor equippable. I tested this with a unguilded character and the same issue is present. An unguilded character could equip a guild tabard, but transmog over it. This is no longer possible. As my main avatar is the GM of her guild, I do not know if this restriction is because of her rank, but this used to not be an issue until the prepatch. Other officer tabards such as the Renowned Guild Tabard can be equipped, but are not really to my taste; I used to be able to transmog over the design. Please fix this.

I get “You can never use that item.” when trying to equip one. Rude.
Edit*, my hunter receives a general “You can’t use that here.” error (but it still changes gear) every time I change a piece of gear.

Oh lord.
Check your Guild Tabards, when going from Orgrimmar to Oribos, mine turned into a “Emboldened Dracthyr’s Tabard”, only usable by Dracthyr.
Also, when going to Oribos, my hunter does not receive the “You can’t use that here.” error when changing between gear. Still cannot equip a guild tabard, though.

I had yet to log on to my Horde rogue alt this afternoon and when I selected her on the Character Select screen… my eyebrows shot up.  Her Renowned Guild Tabard’s appearance had changed to Emboldened Dracthyr’s Tabard.
Just had to be a visual bug that would correct itself once I logged in, right?  Well, yes… sort of.  It wasn’t the dracthyr tabard, but now her Renowned Guild Tabard is no longer transmogrified because the appearance she was using (ironically the regular Guild Tabard) is missing from my Appearances collection.
Can’t equip the Guild Tabard either, despite said alt character being both exalted with and the GM of her guild.

Oh wow. Secret Spaghetti Mountain, indeed! I saw that tabard briefly on my main in the login screen and thought that some armor’s assets had been shuffled around by mistake. When I logged out it was gone.

I ran into the exact same issue last night. I have submitted a bug report and noted that the patch notes made no mention that guild tabards could no longer be equipped. I am unable to transmogrify any tabard to look like my regular guild tabard, and the regular guild tabard appearance is no longer included in my tabard appearances under the Collections tab. When I try to equip my guild tabard, my character vocalizes “I’ll never be able to equip that,” yet I can still purchase a guild tabard from the guild vendor in Orgrimmar. I hope the developers did not remove the guild tabard appearance intentionally and that this is just a bug, because despite how cool looking many of the different faction tabards are, I really like my guild tabard and I prefer its appearance.

They apparently accidentally deleted the Guild tabards and replaced them with the Dracthyr racial one.
Man. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who had that happen to them. I was starting to wonder what happened, and if I was the only one who had that. Good to know that it is a bug and others have experienced it too. Still kind of crazy to think that an item just poofed and turned into something else.

This scared me, so I went to logon screen and it still shows guild tabard. Hopefully will still be there when I eventually log in.

I’ve had this issue for a few days now and kinda expected it would work itself out. I have all my characters in the same guild for bank space and the sick tabard design. This patch broke more than it brought into the game.

I forgot about this and logged in. I got real scared for a bit as it looked pretty plain and gray, but then it corrected itself. Hope you guys get this resolved. I agree, if they closed it without fixing I would reopen.
i dont think it rand im a guild master in kil’jaden and the alliance got all there tabards there other issues with wow to the garrison mountent is not working ether
Update to my open ticket #US87722345: I did receive a response from one GM Xablyss… directing me here, the very first post for this issue. My ticket was marked “answered” but I am escalating it. Here is what I wrote back:
“Thank you for your response. I am actually the very first customer to bring up this issue (please see the topic I started at link to this post). The issue has not been resolved. To date, no solutions have been found by either players nor customer support on any other duplicate thread. All of us are patiently waiting for this to be fixed. Please escalate this topic.”
