I know that guild services were deprecated and guild name change is available for gold.
My question is, if you change the guild name with a guild master in a different server, does that also change the guild server? if not, is there any way to change guild server?
I think you are back to the manual method.
Pick your destination server.
Go there and make sure you can create a charter for your guild name. (that there are no duplicates)
Get more members to create alts to sign charter.
Once you’ve secured the same guild name tell your members to start transferring characters or create new ones and join the guild on the new server.
Probably everything you already know, but just in case.
I think they stopped the service because guild server transfers rarely worked out well for all parties involved. Just my thoughts on it. Good luck to you!
They removed it because it wasn’t needed after any server can join any guild.

Guilds are cross server. There’s no reason for this.

I can see a person not wanting a particular server tag being at the end of their name, and that could be extended to their guild I suppose.
Humans are not always rational, or may have experienced something that causes them to avoid things that are not always obvious from the outside.
If any of the above are in play, that is how you’d go about it.

Yes. Guilds are X-Realm now.
You change the name it changes the Guild name across All Realms.
PS> Guilds do not xfer servers anymore either. I had an Alliance GM on Stormrage. I changed the GM to a Horde on Area52.
Personal preference was not what my reply was about.
Your comment said to tell members to transfer their character or make news ones on that server to be in the guild on that server, which is not a requirement. This is not part of a process to have a guild somewhere.
