Guild Roster Bug: Players Appear Offline But Are Active (Affects Guild Bank Permissions)

I’ve noticed a persistent bug in WoW that seems to be causing issues for my guild, and I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same or if Blizzard has plans to address it.

The Issue: Sometimes, a player who is online and actively chatting in guild chat or standing right next to me will appear as offline in the guild roster. This same player also cannot be found using the /who command, which just returns “0 players found.” Despite being fully online and visible to others, they’re shown as offline.

The Impact: This bug creates problems with guild bank access. Players who appear offline cannot interact with the guild bank because the system believes they aren’t online, preventing them from accessing their appropriate permissions. We’ve run into this several times, and it’s especially frustrating during raid preparations or when trying to distribute items.

Additional Details:

  • The issue has been occurring for quite some time now.
  • Relogging sometimes helps but isn’t a reliable fix.
  • It seems tied to the game’s roster functionality, as it affects both guild and /who searches.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround that’s more effective than just relogging? Also, Blizzard, any word on a fix for this issue? It’s been ongoing for quite a while, and it’s affecting core gameplay features.

Old guild UI never had these nostop back to back bugs. Only the new version of the guild does…the guild UI that the vast majority of people HATE because it is incredibly glitchty
