Looks like we’ve gone the other way lads. Instead of being constantly re-rewarded, it’s now just not applying at all.
The guilds rep tab shows only 1 rep completed yet the toon im on is roughly 120-130 reps at exalted + guilds requirement.
Might be time to get the old devs back in Blizz
Cross-faction characters and/or guild achievements no longer progress. They decided to break a bunch of stuff to circumvent the bug, instead of solving the problem. This prevents cross-faction characters from ever getting the Guild Page, as one example of an unintended consequence.
Catch is I’ve gone as far as faction swapping with no progress
Stupid question, but is it possible it didn’t work because I picked an allied race?
I doubt it. I had the issue on my Blood Elf DK on an alliance guild. I had to switch to a horde guild to get the Alliance Slayer achievement, which I was actively progressing until Blizz locked the achievements for cross-faction guilds. I literally completed Night Elf Slayer the day before the “fix” and the next day it was unachieved and I couldn’t progress Dwarf Slayer, or whatever.
My main Zandalari Druid may never be able to get a Guild Page, bc my guild is alliance and the Alliance Slayer and Horde Slayer are guild faction locked but reward vendor access to character faction locked versions of the pet.
Take a look at the specific achievement you’re trying to progress- United Nations for example has an alliance version and a horde version. Perhaps the problem you’re running into lies there? The constant reachieving was annoying for that month after patch launch.
