If I make a guild, why am I not exalted with it by default? I should have all the perks unlocked at the guild owner. Why do I have to grind out rep for MY guild? This is barbaric and outdated.

that should be the next thing on their list to modernize.
Guild perks should be made baseline, and be there without a guild.
Guilds is just another chat room anyways.

I have no idea why this hasn’t dawned on me since guild rep was added to the game. You make a really good point. You have the power to add and remove people from your guild so what “rep” are you grinding, exactly?

How long does it take to grind to exalted ? I never really noticed
If you have the epic tabard, it isn’t too bad. 250 rep per quest turn in. The quests can’t be gray though.
Because guild rep is a form of gameplay mechanic. If the guild leader was automatically exalted, people wouldn’t be grinding guild rep, they’d be grinding your rep.

Well, guilds are a dictatorship so they should be grinding his/her rep 
Guild rep was introduced in Cata as a way to encourage players to form longer-lasting reationships with other players. It’s not that guilds were dying, it’s that it was a neat idea for the time.
Unfortunately, it also included Cash Flow as a perk. And this one misstep led to the worst addon “features” of all-time – the guild invite spam all started during this time. But it also had the best feature, Mass Ressurection. And the second best feature: Have Group, Will Travel.
Removing HG,WT was honestly the most anti-fun decision until Pathfinder came along.

Yeah if u make it you should be fully repped with them but i wouldnt say unlock everything and hand it to you. That would defeat the whole purpose of bringing members in and doing things together.
If its a bank alt then idk, theyd have to give us an option to change guild to bank vault and auto unlock everything.
I agree, eliminate all guilds from the game. This might even allow for more cooperation between players too.

Not enough. We need to eliminate the “World” and “War” aspects of WoW too.
Why does “of” get to stay? Preposition bias.

Guilds are just another abandoned feature wow has that COULD be good if they decided to spend some time with it and became creative for once. Garrisons is another, Pet battles another, Archaeology, etc etc.
They love to give up on things.
The system should definitely be modernized, but i don’t think they should get rid of it. I think making it relevant again could be nice.
