Why does a newly created character have the extra inventory spaces granted by having an authenticator attached to their account upon creation because the game recognizes them as being on an account with an authenticator, but they are not able to be promoted to a guild rank that requires an authenticator?

Thanks for trying to be helpful, but that wasn’t what I asked.
My question is why if a character is obviously flagged as having an authenticator for the purpose of getting the extra bag slots as soon as they log in, why they are unable to be promoted to a guild rank that requires the authenticator if the game already recognizes them as having one.
This makes it seem like the guild rank thing is a bug, and this may be the wrong forum to ask the question, but again, thanks for trying to be helpful! <3

Hey I had this same problem as well, but the link posted by @Sinshunt has the answer.
In order to be promoted to a guild rank that requires an authenticator, the account not only must have an authenticator attached for a minimum of 7 days, but ALSO the character must BE IN THE GUILD FOR AT LEAST 7 DAYS before it can be promote to a rank that requires an authenticator.
Just posting in case somebody finds this post as I did (and doesn’t follow the link above).
