Logged on today to find a raider talking in Officer chat. It seems the servers came back up and all ranks in our guild were given Officer status. I don’t imagine this is an isolated event. If you’re a GM, you may want to double check all rank permissions in your guild as anyone will be able to see current and past Officer chat.
Just checked our guild, everything is normal.
Never had all these nonstop back to back guild UI glitches when we still had our old system that was in game for nearly 2 full decades. Be cool if we could at least type in /groster to see our old guild. ZERO glitches on the old version. Back to back bugs and glitches on the new version, such as showing people as being in the guild who are not, not allowing you to invite people to your guild as it claims they are already in a guild when they are not. In no way shape or form is the new guild UI better. It has been out for years now and it still is flawed and broken.
Guess what Nikalia? You wouldn’t be having this problem with the old guild UI. New one is inferior in every single way and very few people like it at all. It is a colossal failure on Blizzard’s part and further shows how greatly dethatched they are from the playerbase.
And one of the guilds that I am a GM of, it wouldn’t even allow to invite a new member because I “didn’t have permission” Like tried inviting from my toon that is the guild GM, NOT one of my alts in the guild. Its happened to other people too.
Ranks and notes reset from time to time too. Notes will sometimes auto clear off of everyone even when I don’t give them the ability to delete.
So… did you have the same issue as OP
Glad to hear that. Maybe it was a one off for us since I’ve not been able to find anyone else with the same issues. Very bizarre.
this happened to my guild like a month ago, except it was only everyone with the “raider” rank and not everyone in the guild. no clue what caused it but they just went in an changed permissions and things went back to normal
On one occasion yes. When Blizzard straight up lied to us and said that they were not going to change Classic in any more ways they then turned around and did this.

Na. Lots of us in retail have had our entire bank cleared. Blizzard even made a public statement about it. Thanos exists…and he just snapped half my bank out of exitance.
Very odd thing about it though…I am in many guilds and am GM of a few. Some where only I have ability to pull from many of the tabs… Some of those were cleared out.
Wow, that is wild… I am missing a certain item from my Era Bank…, now I’m sad. Its the AE fire proc quest enchant… GONE and can’t repeat.
Battlepets lots of them are gone.

It happened to me in TWW and now I am hearing people saying it happened all over Cata too.
And this guild here all ranks got reset. One of my other guilds I made here. Everything got reset to member rank as well and in the guild members could not invite. The ranks we used to have could invite though and GM had quit the game. So we were left with a guild where no one could invite anyone to it ever.
And in this guild, I keep getting messages saying a certain member has come online when they actually haven’t. There were ZERO problems with the old guild system. This new guild UI has had nothing but nonstop bugs and glitches since it first came out,
After 90 days of GM not logging in, there is a dethrone button to take over GM for others in the guild.
Yes but they made it to where members can no longer do it. Only a higher rank can. A guild of mine in HC had that problem. And GM came back and tried to invite someone…but got the message saying he didn’t have permission to invite to his guild that he created on his GM toon. So he /disbanded the guild.
This is the sorta stuff that shouldn’t happen

Mine was cleaned out totally. They left me 3 stacks of goblin gliders.
