Guild Master deleted my guild

So I joined a guild about 3 weeks ago and everything seemed to be going fine. Then out of no where I log on and both my characters that were in that guild were removed from it. The guild discord was also deleted and when I tried dming my guild master he basically blocked everyone so he wouldn’t delete any messages. So then I found out from another previous member of the guild that the GM probably just deleted it and transferred for all the money that was in the guild bank.

I really wish this wouldn’t be a problem or that the money wouldn’t just all be sent to the gm. That’s completely unfair to the people who have put their time and money into the guild bank. I just wish there were harsh punishments if you decide to delete your guild that is clearly active.

Guild Master knows best

The guild belongs to the GM. They can do whatever they want with it. Ultimately, you have no say.

It’s crap behavior, but it is theirs.

This is why you never donate gold to a guild bank.

I’m sorry to hear that happened. And you’re right, it sucks for the people who contributed in good faith, just for one person to treat the guild like his own personal pyramid scheme.

I don’t know if he’s still around anymore, but there was a user who was infamous for creating a guild, getting a bunch of people to join and contribute lots of money/items, then liquidating everything before shutting the guild down and repeating the process. He’d even come on here to brag about how much he’d made from the people he’d suckered.

I don’t know what can be done about it, except for people to protect themselves by avoiding contributing anything to a guild until it seems to be on the up-and-up.

That happened to a guild I joined. It was very weird. I didn’t put anything in because the stinkers wouldn’t even let me withdraw anything from the bank even after going up a few ranks. No thanks, if you make it a point not to help me then I’m not helping you. I was about to leave anyway so it wasn’t a big deal.

Type the guild in the search bar here iand see what happens. If it still exists than you were kicked for no reason or other reasons

Click on the guild name in the server it was or still currently in. The armory should provide info of the guild it’s willing to show, should be able to see how many players are inside, class and level.

I usually don’t donate gold just mats.

One solution-ish, would be for there to be a lot more “passive” ways to get gold into the guild bank (for repairs). Running a few dungeons for 750g is weaksauce.

Or at least why you don’t do it with these fly by the night ones that have been around for a month.

This is why you avoid cesspool guilds.

This used to be a thing but it incentivized people to make guilds and mass inviting so they could generate/keep all the passive gold for themselves…and Blizz got rid of it.

these were the good old days. get a steady stream of gold just for using a ginvite addon.

it wasnt “your guild”, it was the GMs.

also, you were only there for 3 weeks, suck it up and move on

People were putting their money in the guild bank?

Whatever for?

This is why I don’t apply any real effort towards guilds… because you can’t trust people. If they aren’t already people I’ve known for years, kick rocks I’m bringing, me, me and me and that’s it. I’m not farming for anyone.

While I empathize, Blizzards policy is that the Guild Master owns the guild… He owns everything in the guild bank, and can do with it all as they please.

even noobs in eve learn keep your money out of the corp lol.

PLay/Fight with them. be on the fleets. don’t leave money with them lol.

best they ever got from me was corp tax on bounties from killing mobs. the punchline…I made my isk on other chars not in corp most of the time.

If asked how I made money to cover losses my reply was the same exact question asked back.

Well, first, I got up and had a piece of toast then I brushed my teeth then I went to the store to buy some fish.

Fry why did you remove me?

I just don’t get why anyone would do it, or why anyone would even ask.

I’ve been GM of our guild since 2013 and I have NEVER asked people to donate money to the guild bank, nor would it ever occur to me to do so. To the extent that I find the notion of such behavior shocking.

I don’t think there will ever be fairness when it comes to the guild bank. Blizzard should try to create a system that works for everyone and not just the guild master but I’m not sure what that would look like.

I did have a guild once offer free repairs but the money just disappeared so fast.
