I just came back to WoW after leaving a little while after Legion was launched. WoD really sucked all the joy out of the game at that time. I am however enjoying TWW!
That said, what if we had guild garrisons? But call them lodges or something other than garrisons. Here are some ideas in my mind:

Basically a guild clubhouse with cool stuff that each member of the guild can hang out at and interact with other members. There could be a trophy room with guild achievements displayed on the walls on plaques or something.

Maybe it has a bank, but no AH because we don’t want to completely kill the big city vibe. Open to suggestions on this.

Here’s a cool idea: the guild members vote on what region or zone they want their lodge set up in. Maybe one guild has a lodge in Nagrand. Another in Jade Forest or whatever. That would give it some personality.

Each guild member would carry a hearthstone to their guild lodge. Earning the guild lodge hearthstone could be a reputation achievement with the guild. The lodge would have a capital city portal back to Org/Stormwind

No grinding of any kind required. If someone wants to, maybe there are optional tasks of some kind around the lodge that members can do to build up the lodge, guild bank, guild treasury, etc.

Personally, I’d like a little fishing pond that has a chance to spawn fish from any expansion.

What are your ideas? I think Guilds could be more than just a nametag or a raid team. There could be more of a social element to them as well. There could be team recruitment tools as well to help build guilds the way the guild wants.
