This has been going on since before DF.
Occasionally while in guild, we’ll randomly get spammed with achievements, usually “classic battles,” “dungeon diplomat,” etc. We thought it was only when someone logged in, but it happens randomly when nothing is seemingly going on, either.
At the very least, would think that Blizz would give some option for players to mute notifications about guild achievements.
Result of Warbands making things account wide. Just wait a whole for folks to finish logging all of their various toons in for the first time since pre-patch and it will stop being spammy.
Yeah that’s nice and dandy for small guilds, but we have near member cap amount of characters.
And the resolution will still be the same. Patience.
Again, this isn’t a new issue.
It’s been happening since at least Shadowlands, if not before.
I wouldn’t go so far, as we never witnessed this in Shadowlands. The first occurrence was immediately following the launch of cross-faction guild membership support.
If you click the achievements as they’re awarded, you will see that Classic Battles, Dungeon Diplomat, and United Nations all show the faction variant that is the opposite of your guild. In our case, we are an Alliance guild and the repeat rewards are always the Horde version of these achievements (and typically only ever happen when a Horde character logs on).
Since a guild of one faction can’t actually earn achievements tied to the opposite faction, the credit for these is continually reset until the next trigger since there is nothing that keeps them “earned”.
This should have been an easy fix, as personal achievements have faction variants that work without issue.

Google searched to see if this was an issue as it’s been happening to me since sometime in DF as well. I get it about 5 times per session. Its really annoying.
We get it at least once every 5 minutes since we’re a larger guild.
It is ridiculous, especially since they don’t really seem to serve much of a purpose anymore
We’ve been dealing with this issue for ages, possibly months or even a year now? At the start we joked about it and rolled our eyes because it was fairly uncommon, but since pre-patch it has entered a whole new phase of annoying and happens just constantly throughout the day now.
Many, if not all, of us periodically get disconnected from blizzard services, cannot check any guild tabs and cannot even chat in guild, we are effectively guild-less until we reconnect to blizzard services. Then usually after the reconnect, the entire guild list will ‘refresh’ with everyone online coming online all at once and the next time anyone logs in we get the same achievements over and over again:
United Nations
Dungeon Diplomat
Pandaren Embassy
Our guild info section is just completely flooded with these achievements over and over and over again endlessly. We are a guild from very early vanilla and are quite large, with nearly 200 unique accounts and many many alts. We float near cap often until we do alt cleanings. Since TWW dropped this has gotten so bad with so many people online all throughout the day that it is seriously starting to drive people insane.
I have heard posting in the forums increases the chance that these problems are seen and possibly added to a list to be fixed so I am hoping this info can help and with more people posting here to hopefully get the attention this deserves to try and save our sanity
Any updates on this Blizzard? Been happening for a long time now and occurring on both of our guilds. Getting tired of telling our members it seems to be a Blizzard bug.
Also our other Guild Achievements don’t seem to be progressing - If Guild Achievements are not working it might be best to remove them from the game until fixed as they provide zero value atm and just annoy people with all the spamming (worst when it covers your bars so you can’t see them during battle impacting game play)
Unfortunately, no.
One of our guild members ended up having to make an addon in order to block it for us, but I don’t think I can share (much less that anyone should trust a link from a stranger) it here.
If you would rather not deal with it there is an addon to turn off guild achievement notfications.
