Guild Invites Not Working At All

For three days now I have been unable to guild invite anyone to the guild. I have tried both /ginvite CharacterName and doing it from the guild roster “Invite Member”. Neither work. I am the GM. When I ask other officers to invite, they can’t. It is the same thing each time… It says “You have invited CharacterName to the guild” BUT the player never gets the invite.

The people do not have “Block Guild Invites” toggled off, I have asked them.

The first time this started happening, I had invited a few people successfully and then invited one person who had just transferred a few days before and had “block all guild invites” toggled on. When I invited her, it SHOWED the usual “Player is not accepting ginvites” or whatever, and I told her about it. She toggled it off and then when I invited her it said “You have invited SoandSo to guild” but she never got the invite. Could this be the start of whatever glitch is occurring now?

Ever since that happened, neither myself (The GM) not any officers in my guild can invite ANYONE. What is going on? We are trying to recruit for raiding so if you could let me know how to fix this soon that would be great! (also just FYI, all players in my guild can invite, there should be no issue with that)

Have you tried disabling your addons? or using /guildroster to invite via the old UI?

Yes to both, but there are multiple other guild members who have tried to invite, and the same thing is happening to them. I know for a fact at least one of them does not use add ons at all.

I want to say the issue you are having is due to the 1k guild member limit. I would try to remove some members such as inactives and see if the guild invites work again.

Guilds can only have 1000 characters, so you’ll need to remove some before adding new ones.

Wow thanks guys - that was it. I didn’t think we were even close to that. Time to boot some long forgotten alts.
