I know we just got a trailer to the new housing thing in WoW, I’m super excited for it! But I wanted to get your guys’ opinion on guild housing, and if the developers should move forward with it. I feel like for guilds that are very active especially on RP servers, guild housing would be amazing. Though the main cities would be less populated, but I think guild housing would be great.
Having an area for you and your guildmates to hangout and customize together or have your own separate space within the guild hall to call your own.

I would prefer guild housing over player housing but idk if we’re going to get guild housing or not.

My dream for guild housing is a disc like Dalaran that floats or orbits the world. You could look down, see where you are, and leap off.
Nope. And even Blizz said nope to that. Because in their words, “It’s fun for the guild lead, not so much for the guild.” And it’s true.

A guild hall would be cool alongside player housing.
But maybe we can get that after they figure out housing first.
I’d prefer they didn’t touch guild housing. It’s a waste of time, it’s not fun for the guild and without buffs attached to it, then no one cares. So it’s a useless space that only guild leads or officers can decorate where the rest of the guild is like, “why do we care?” And if it has buffs, then people argue about which buffs to use which week like in SWTOR. And then they get nerfed into not mattering and the people who aren’t in a guild whine and complain. So it would be like Cata all over again.
Guild housing should be hotels with mayby 50 rooms for GM to give out. Those without a room still have the communal areas to hang out in. When you eneter a room, it would just be that players house.

This would allow for:
Furniture vendor NPC
Retroactive Gameplay Element
Garrison & Housing:
Works to also get back previous achievements that involved visiting and doing invasions
Personal housing Hearth (Could be used for garrison Hearthing
Future Garrison banners!
Why not, we have the personal Tabard.
The garrisons have alot of what feels like unfinished promise:
Doing this allows developers and designers the freedom to get creative with an old idea tied into a new idea.
Want guild housing? Why not Guild Garrison.
Talk about immersive: The possibilities of having a garrison represent your professions as well as your guild mates standings.
I’d be cool with guild housing, but only because I have a personal guild so it would just be an account-wide fortress for me lol

I don’t see them doing guild housing because of all the potential drama. Presumably all members of a guild would contribute to the building and furnishing of a guild house. However, the way guilds work in WoW, a guildmaster can remove anyone or everyone at their own will. There’s so much potential for abuse there that I doubt they’d want the support hassles.
You think people complain about unfair dungeon kicks? Wait until the player who furnished half the guild hall gets gkicked.
